a few folks waiting in line to cast the ballot at george c. marshall high school in falls church. earlier this morning the officials at the polling place say it was 45 minutes folks ballot. they are making sure everyone has a photo i.d. out before they get in there to speed this up. they are expecting as we get closer to the closing time at 7:00 that we will start to see many more voters showing up. fairfax county saying 45% cast a ballot in addition to 20% of the absentee done prior to today. if you know someone or you are someone coming out tonight between now and when the polls they say you should expect the lines will grow. if you are in line tonight you can still vote. brianne carter, abc7 news. alison: overall, they are monitoring 28 states, including virginia but a federal judge quashed trouble brewing in one state. saying the polls were kept open two hours later than they were supposed to and a judge tossed that out. and cheryl conner is keeping tabs on the polling problems in our area today. >> the sticker shows proof she voted but brown said it cost her unnecessary time

george marshall said later this was his experience with vast mobilization and creating a mass movement of people towards one objective. organizing the camps in illinois. c does is national park infrastructure. they did all of this public works performed by the civilian conservation corps under the u.s. army. remainsdous legacy that visible in our country today and helps preserve our national treasure during a time of great crisis. macarthur's tenure as chief of staff of the army was a very positive thing. and it had some negative things things. it was certainly turbulent. but he stays in it for five years. that had been extended a little more than the normal four-year term. in 1945, there is not really a suitable job for him. he has done everything an army officer can expect to do. until the philippines called. a place he had it before, a place he enjoyed, a place he had friends. they hire him as their military advisor. until 1935 they will be independent. 1946 they need someone to advise and create a philippine army and who better to do that than the outgoing u.s. army chief of staff. macarthur accepts. in the fall of 1935, he leaves washington. as far
