george herbert walker bush. as we watch these images we're joined by jay lefkowitz. he worked for both bushes. director of cabinet affairs for george h.w. bush. domestic policy advisor for george h.w. bush and envoy to north korea. you watched the entire service. there were many moving parts. what touched you the most? >> i think what touched me the most was the end of president bush's remark, eulogy about his father you could just see the personal relationship between the two. it was something that i was able to see first-hand when i worked for president george w. bush. the real love that he had for both of his parents. the impression, the role model that they were to him. i thought, so much of the morning events were very moving and funny. john meacham spoke, really captured some of the humor of president 41 experienced when he was on the campaign trail, shaking hands with that mannequin, saying every vote counts. can't give up on anybody. charles: pot to try. those comments were absolutely wonderful. the times wag wonderful. brian mulroney, former prime minister of canada, also spoke. that was a nod to the fact that president h.w. b
