also things like in balboa, it was key moments, a key people like teachers, like george lee, wilcox,edicto, who in the beginning of his history class said, "even though our curriculum is a certain way, i want to make sure we touch on a little bit of the history of everyone in this class and how you got here to america." that really made me see that education could be different. before that, i was not really engaged or interested in what i was being taught, but that made a huge difference for me. i am involved in things like ethnic studies here, which are taking a turn to hopefully engage students and relate to the audience and the people you are teaching. for me, i did not -- i still had some bad habits when i came to city college. when i first came, i was not focused. it was not my priority. i was working full time. so i struggled. i dropped out. i messed up my transcript. i am now returning last semester, trying to redeem myself with a different mentality. my priority is to help my community. that is what motivates me now to make a difference for youth in the community. i have been

the defense basically then asked a question wit cleared lee but they didn't ask the question about georgea juror's mind that maybe there was some sort of an indication of paternity. >> if that's what the defense is trying to hang their hat on, i'm hoping that the jurist smarter than that. but george was the very first witness called by the state. and the prosecutor at the time, mr. ashton, asked him, have you ever sexually molested your daughter. and he very clearly said no. >> why is it so important for george and for cindy anthony to be in court every day? >> this is such a unique situation. they've lost their granddaughter, and their daughter is facing the death penalty. and they don't know what happened to their granddaughter. so they're trying to find out what the truth is. and they hope to get closure through this. and that's the main reason that they're sitting in the courtroom every day. >> do they want casey to be found not guilty? >> no. they want to see justice done. and they want to see that this case does come to some type of conclusion. certainly they don't want to see the u

that father, george, brother, lee, had molested her. was afraid to tell anybody caylee was dead or missing, depending on which story you want to believe, george. then, yesterday, neither side asked him, did you molest your sister? nobody would touch it with a ten-foot pole. >> i don't get that. >> because, look. what is the -- the defense is the one that wants this in. the prosecution views this as nonsense. the prosecution has no interest in bringing up what they view is a frivolous argument. and the defense knows that the answers to the questions are going to be -- are you kidding me? and no, that's an incredibly insulting question. there's going to be very aggressive responses. so, if they're going to be able to prove that, this abuse. >> how are they going to get it in? >> it would have to be through casey. she has to get to the stand, if they're going to prove their theory. i mean, i think what the defense needs to do now, is they need to start focusing, again and again, on this accident, which is -- now, they have the police office

they say she's used to hiding secrets because she was molested by her father george and her brother lee. her whole life is about hiding the truth and keeping those feelings inside. that's why she acted like that. >> trying to discredit the brother and father in all of this. >> they're trying to blame them for her crazy behavior. >> there seems to be a reaction that the jurors are having to the defense attorney. >> yes. >> how is that playing out? how can we tell what's going on there. >> the bottom line is, you don't really want to listen to somebody you don't like. let's face it, suzanne, you walk in a party, you're going to talk to someone you like. you're certainly not going to seek out somebody you don't trust or you think is dishonest and have a conversation with them. what we're seeing, the reaction in the courtroom is when jose baez, lead attorney for casey stands up and smiles at the jury and tries to engraciate, good morning. they don't smile back. they will not respond in a positive fashion to him which tells you they don't like what's going on in that courtroom from his side.
