marshals have arrested 48 year old linda mccorkle in new york. prince georges county police say a few weeks ago, mccorkle had children with her when she approached a woman in a parking lot asking for help to cash a check. the victim agreed and drove mccorkle to the bank while a second woman took the kids away. once at the bank, police say she threatened to shoot the victim if she didn't withdraw several thousand dollars from her savings. police have not arrested the second suspect in this case. >>> metro has spent the day replacing a cracked rail on the redline, that made the morning commute oh, so slow. a section of rail crack early this morning. they're saying it was miserable. a section of the ray cracked earlier this morning between tinley town and friendship heights stations. metro says these kind of cracks are often caused by cold weather and sudden changes in temperature but they don't know what happened here because it certainly wasn't that cold. >>> though there's more than 200 demonstrators who converge on petco service center in northwest, protesting

here's the latest now, prince george's county police tell us linda mccorckle was arrested by u.s. marshals in new york. she is accused of robbing a langely park woman after asking her to cash a check to help with her three small children. detectives found her by using bank surveillance video and then they got a tip from crime solvers. >>> prince george's county now, police are working to retrieve a body out of a well there. it is a very dangerous recovery process. now, they found the remains in a well off old fort road in fort washington yesterday after getting an anonymous tip. authorities say it could take several days, though, to remove that body. it is at least 30 feet down and we're told there are some concerns about the stability of that well. it may have to be reenforced before a person can go down that well. >>> a homicide investigation under way after a teenager is stabbed to death. police say the 19-year-old man stumbled into the kennedy rec center on seventh street in northwest last night before collapsing. officers are still looking for a suspect and a motive, but think it may
