george mcgovern saying i don't believe the polls. i see the enthusiasm and the crowds. you can't tell me this doesn't equal eight to something so i heard that echo in my mind. i kept remembering george mcgovern who was misled by those rallies. but i have to admit it took me off guard. i am portrayed as one of the few that said he might win. it's been a specialty of mine the evangelical vote and my wife, i think her because she was running everything on the book and my daughter is around here somewhere taking pictures, they were helping me do the research on the buck that one of the things we hit was the evangelical vote and a mistake that baracthey missedit but bard he called up their towards the end and said you are losing the white evangelical vote and you don't have to and they laughed at him. after the election was over, one of obama's assistants wrote an op-ed in the "washington post" said why did hillary lose the evangelical vote and the headline is she didn't ask for it. the fact turned out to matter because ed 1% of them vote

george mcgovern and bob dole work together in a bipartisan way during the 1970s to help strengthen our nutrition and empty hunger programs. we were our way to eliminating hunger in this country and then we began to reverse some of the progress we made. now, what i find is that this issue has become polarizing. you're never gonna find a member of congress that is pro- hunger. they will never say that to you. when you look at the voting records of some of my colleagues, i don't know how you could come to any other conclusion. what ends up happening is that they are chipping away at programs that provide the basic necessity of food to our children and two parents and two older people. when i look at the presidents budget were told that in that budget there may be cuts to programs like wic, women's infant and children program. basic nutrition for pregnant mothers and their young children after their born. it is important, it is important because if we neglect that then will have to pay in other ways on the line. again i hate to talk about this in terms of the bottom line in dollars and cen
