north carolina coast tomorrow it will intensify and we'll watch it closely. in advance of that, the winter weather advisories issued overnight and tomorrow for anne arundel, prince george, calvert, charles, northern virginia, spotsylvania. these are the winter storm warning from to virginia and north carolina and over on the eastern shore as well. the warning areas could be snowfall. a sharp cutoff between a little bit of snow and a lot of snow. flurries reaching ground right now on doppler radar. let me show you the breadth of the storm. a lot of rain, snow and ice. this is all sliding to the northeast. we will be on the northern fringe of this. at the same time the storm developing strong northerly winds will develop. this could help us. if the winds are strong enough, long enough it could keep the snow farther south. but right now 6:00 in the morning, here is the edge of the snow line just south of the district. it could creep northward for a while during the mid-to-late morning. right now we think by early afternoon we should pull to the east. the gusty winds and the cold air will continue. as a result, here is what we are calling for. north and west, flurry or two
