[applause] [applause] >> british chancellor of the exchequer george osborne said this week the britishbank northern rock will be put up for sale three years after the british government stepped in to support the mortgage lender. speaking to an annual gathering of bankers, mr. osborne also said it was time for the banking and financial sectors to stop relying on british taxpayers. his comments are about 25 minutes. >> the chancellor of the exchequer, the right honorable george osborne, member of parliament.
