let's get right to george stephanopoulos, who will lead our coverage of the results tonight as they come in and george, first off, the republicans. what are you watching for? >> can donald trump close the deal? he's led in new hampshire for 200 straight days. digits. but we saw, as tom llamas mentioned before, that in iowa, his performance didn't match his poll numbers. will that happen again or will if he reverses it, he is the strong front runner again. and then, secondly, do the results on the republican side force people out of the race or give them more incentive to stay in? and those governors, jeb bush, john kasich, chris christie, if they either go ahead of marco rubio or stay close to him, they're going stay in this race, no matter what. and that could be good news for donald trump, if he's got this split field. >> and george, on the dimmic ic democratic side, bernie sanders way ahead. so, what does hillary clinton have to do here? >> what they were hoping for coming in tonight was pulling within double digits. the other number to watch for, does she have a clear win over bernie

it wi let's get right to george stephanopoulos. i know you've been pouring through the preliminary entrance poll results. what are you seeing on the republican side? >> they asked the question, looking for somebody experienced in politics or a political outsider? put the numbers up right there. we're going to see that 51% are looking for an outsider versus someone with political experience and look at how that breaks down. big-time for donald trump. 49% for him. 16% for ben carson. ted cruz, down at 16%. they broke so heavily for donald trump. and then, on the democratic side, david, you know, we were talking so much about the first-time voters. look at this. 55% of the caucus-goers on the democratic side said they have attended a caucus before, and again, they broke hard for hillary clinton. look at that. 60% to 33%. martin o'malley at 4%. so, there are clues now to why both donald trump and hillary clinton have slight leads as we go into this night. >> all right, and as soon as we learn more, george, i know you'll be breaking in.
