this is one of my favorite paintings of george washington. that is george washington looking at his war plans on the map. i love that. but you know i will tell you that it played a big role in helping him win the revolutionary war; secret writing. they could communicate between new york and the mainland secretly. and if they had not communicated secretly then the enemy would know their plans so you have to communicate secretly. my contribution to the whole issue of the revolutionary war and spies is this is james jay. does the jay name ring a bell? he is the older brother of john jay, one of the founding fathers. he is a medical doctor and developed a secret ink for his brother john jay. i could not find a portrait of him and they all describe him as this odious man and i thought i have to see what he looks like and i found this at the end before the book is going to be published. he was central in providing george washington with secret ink. i tell the story in the end but it doesn't have a happy ending because he never got paid, and he peti

police in new york arrest two people for flying a drone over the george washington bridge not far frome helicopter. this happened early yesterday morning. the cops say the drone came within 800 feet of one of the police choppers before the pilot of the drone turned it away to avoid. our chief correspondent, jonathan hunt is here with more on this. so what exactly happened here over the george? >> one of the cops in this nypd helicopter noticed some lights approaching just after midnight monday when the chopper was near the george washington bridge. on closer inspection saw that those lights were actually a drone. apparently the chopper pilot felt he needed to take evasive action to avoids being struck by that drone. he then followed it. it landed on top of a van. cops went to take a look at the van on the ground and they said, yes, these are our drones, we're just having fun. cops didn't think it was so funny. >> any words from the men or lawyer? >> they were released on bail. this was a publicity stunt on the d.a. to have a chilling effect on people just having fun. this is a dji phan
