georgia state patrol officer shot back. unfortunately, that individual was killed and patrol officer, the state patrol officer was shot in the abdomen. now, they had a protest last night. it was peaceful, but there were some individuals within that crowd that meant violence. they had explosives, they burned down a police car, they broke windows at businesses. so, our police department a long with our state and federal partners took swift action within two blocks and brought that situation under control and the violence stopped. those six individuals were arrested. it should be noted that these individuals were not atlanta or georgia residents. most of them traveled into our city to reek havoc. we love to support people when they're doing right, peaceful protest is part of the american freedoms, but when you are violent, we will make sure that you get -- held accountable. >> i want to pick up on that point. when you say people from out of town carrying explosives. is this an organized movement here? your local paper says this

i currently serve as georgia's first senior hunger and nutrition coordinator as was stated. i manage the implication of the first of its claim to stand alone state plan to addressing hunger that was implemented in december of 2017. as the subject matter expert, i work with many different partners including 12 senior hunger coalitions which are housed within our 12 area agencies on aging to provide training, raise awareness and leverage state policies and initiatives. our area coordinated the delivery of older americans act as services. our division oversees non-medicaid home and community-based services that help older georgians, their caregivers live safe, healthy and independent lives in their homes and communities. in 2020 and 2021 the division received an additional 44 million in stimulus funding from the consolidated appropriations act and american rescue plan act for home and community-based services and to promote vaccine access. the funding also included 25 million for meals and 17.5 million for supportive services. many of the additional services provided remain sup
