. >> let's drill down deeper on the financials with gerard cassidy. what are some of the gold jie locks in the area in terms of the economy and more specifically interest rates? >> good evening, melissa i would say that the goldilocks scenario is one in which, you know, the u.s. economy continues to grow, possibly next year 3 to 4% we know this year's growth is excessive and it's not going to be sustained of course but in that kind of environment if you start seeing a steepening of the yield curve and you get to see the 10-year rise above 2%, 2.25% sometime in the third quarter of next year and then the prospects of the federal reserve may be having to move faster on the fed funds rate if you start to see that, that would certainly be very favorable. here's the other part of the goldilocks scenario as you pass which is longer. i think what you're going to see in 2022 is as the supply chain problems start to ease up, the inventory situation in this country is very, very low as we all know as companies restock inventories they'll be drawing down on corp

cohead of economics with michelle gerard. i'm reading between the lines.'m listening very closely. i think powell is committed to not to make any major policy adjustments as long as possible but at some point could it be out of his hands? >> you know i will say in terms of rate increases i do think the fed is being quite patient but even with that, you know, at the last fomc meeting you could hear i think less confidence from the fed chair about the idea that inflation wasn't going to be problematic and wouldn't require them to perhaps act sooner. even in the fed's own projections it showed that the committee is now split between whether or not they will have to start raising rates in 2022, or they can wait until 2023. that is the ship before they were all thinking later. all i'm saying is i have actually think there is somewhat less confidence and more wariness on the part of the fed that they, they might, these inflation pressures might not be as transient as they would have hoped. charles: so yeah, i agree with you there. we see that happening more and

all this must be very tough for karen, the daughter of fallen fdny chief gerard scarborough who co-led rescue effort at tower two, lost his life. karen, thank you for taking the time to chat. >> thank you, neil. neil: you know, an anniversary like this, it must come with mixed blessings. you see the video of the towers falling and all of this horror and know that your dad was among its victims. on this day how are you? >> well, thank you, first ors for having me -- first, for having me. i never considered my father a victim. my father was a leader of the rescue effort, one of the largest in history. 20,000 people were saved that day. he was a self-made man who loved his career with the fire department and rose through the ranks to the best of his ability and, like you said, co-led the effort at tower two. so he's not a victim in my heart. he did lose his life, but he didn't lose it as much as he gave it. neil: how long has it taken to get the official word your dad and so many other brave men and women who were trying to help all these others were gone? >> well, that was sort of a whir
