germantown is right at the freezing mark. the temperature in frederick is 25 degrees. fredericksburg is at 30 degrees. annapolis thanks to the warmer waters in the chesapeake bay is now at 42 degrees we have a cold front off to the north and west of us. this will come through later today into the evening and overnight hours and clouds will increase a little bit. i am confident that cold front will not bring as rain or snow. behind it, winds will be out of the north so it will be colder tomorrow. the highs today are 48-53 degrees, nighttime lows are in the upper 30's and colder tomorrow. the wind chill factor will make it feel like 37 degrees tomorrow. temperatures are in the lower 40's on sunday and warming up a little bit by tuesday and wednesday. you had as worried about 95. >>> we were looking live at a picture in springfield, virginia. we noticed that the traffic started to slow down. we will go live to newschopper7 because they found the two accidents on 95 at the beltway to merge onto the outer loop and there is a separate car wreck on the outer loop near telegra

news 4's tracee wilkins has more from germantown. >> reporter: this fatal pedestrian accident happened just before 6:00 a.m. the effects of it lasted well into the morning rush. police say a man was running across i-270, the southbound lanes this morning when he was truck by a tractor-trailer in the third lane and killed. the man seen here is the driver of the truck. he didn't want to talk on camera since an investigation was pending. he tells us the pedestrian was running from the shoulder of the southbound lanes heading toward the northbound direction. before he could stop, he hit him. the truck driver stayed on the scene. police are not identifying the pedestrian at this time. they say they know he was coming from his residence located a few miles away on 355. they don't know where he was headed or why he was attempting to cross an eight-lane highway in the dark. the driver who struck the man will not face charges. the accident was unavoidable. the investigation into the crash had a major impact on traffic. only the two left lanes got by. the exit ramp for 118 west was closed. polic
