gerry, end with you and begin with you. what did you think of the markets reaction to the no recession comment as he can see it from jerome powell? >> well, think the reaction was much more probably to what jerome powell said about the -- implied where interest rates are right now. as lawrence said, he thinks that interest rates are roughly in the neutral zone. it's a zone of interest rates where the rates are neither pressing down, restraining demand and nor are they stimulating demand. if we're in that kind of a range, that suggests the fed is reasonably comfortable that they don't have to go significantly higher. now 2.5%, the fed funds rate, they're going to do another increase in september. we have two months till then and then another one after that. but i think what the markets are reacting to is the sense -- what the fed is trying to do, neil, get interest rates -- they're way behind the curve. trying to get interest rates up as quickly as they can to a number that they think is exercising restraint on the economy.
