we need that boat to get into geurneville. obviously where we're standing in forestville, it was affected by the russian river hitting that number, i think you mentioned around 46' or near 46'. where we're standing, there's definitely water along the road because you see at the structure there, it's still under water or halfway under water at least. you see that watermark way up there. that meant at some point the water was definitely up there. so you can see it's starting to recede as those levels at the russian river begin to drop. some of this video, this is from our nbc bay area sky ranger giving you that look. the devastating look there, guys, geurneville where you can see the town is under water in some of those popular parts. i remember yesterday morning we actually announced it during the 5:00 a.m. hour when people were landlocked meaning you couldn't do in and out of the area so you need add boat or helicopter to get in and out of the area. folks who wanted to evacuate, they were unfortunately stuck here in forestvill

the russian river near geurneville, we are expecting this to rise 5' over flood stage. this will be peaking later this evening. this in effect until further notice. we also have aerial flood warning in effect. down to petaluma. do not cross where water covers the road. a flood warning for napa river, saint helena to downtown napa. we also have an area flood warning for the marin county. this is where we've seen anywhere from 6 to 7, even 8" of rain. street flooding, rising creeks, and also some smaller streams. for the guadalupe river this flood warning continues until this afternoon. we are expecting it to peak at 9.1 feet, 6" above flood stage. it's flooding those areas where we have evacuations in place. we continue to monitor that situation looking at a wider view of the rain as it continues to move through. and we are catching a bit of a break compared to earlier this morning. right now just a steady rain coming down around the bay area. i wanted to show you this. we do have a cold front dropping across the bay area. that gave a lot of energy to the storm and also
