back to you guys. >>> thank you, gianna. 6:36 now. some developing news in san jose where suspects in two murders still on the loose this morning. cbs 5 reporter anne makovec is in east san jose where she just talked with a friend of the city's latest murder victim. anne. >> reporter: this is the scene of san jose's 36th homicide of the year. it happened at about 12:30 this morning. there was a birthday party going on at the home here behind me. one man was outside tending a barbecue when apparently, a group of maybe about 4 people came upon him and started shooting. he ran into the house screaming and then died in that house. police think that this crime may be gang-related. but the friend of the mandied who was in his 30s says no one at the party was affiliate with a gang. >> guys cook a barbecue ran into the house saying shots fired. the man who was hit ran into the house and dropped to the floor. i looked out the window and i didn't see anything. all i was told is that it was gangbangers wear blue rags on their faces. >> reporter:

let's check the roads now with gianna. >> all right.is a busy commute in morning at the bay bridge toll plaza. here's a live look at conditions. you can see headlines just beyond the raindrops. backed up almost to the maze with metering lights on. elsewhere, the rest of the bay area bridges not too bad. san mateo bridge drive times are inching up. about 16 to 17 minutes hayward and foster city and no accidents or stalled vehicles. those taillights going towards foster city. golden gate bridge, this is actually looking good. you're clear out of marin county into san francisco. 14 minutes, 580 to the golden gate bridge. northbound serramonte accident cleared to the right shoulder you can see green along 280 so traffic cleared up nicely around that area. looks like 101 better, as well. so good news there. elsewhere we are still getting reports of some flooding 280 near cesar chavez along the 280 extension so heads up there. drive times in the east bay are where we are seeing most of our delays right now. carquinez bridge to the maze, westb

let's check on the roads with gianna. >> thank you very much, lawrence. it is a bit troublesome out roads. you saw live shots there from sierra and again traveling up and around there grab your opinion chains for 80 and 50. look at this live traffic cam. look at the vehicles stuck on the side of the road. so give yourself some extra time and don't forget your chains. westbound 80, 580 and 24 are hot spots in the east bay right now. you can see traffic really stacked up through the altamont pass. 42 minutes now westbound 508 as you work your way towards 680. that's very slow and go. also, we are getting reports of an accident eastbound 80 near richmond. it is blocking lanes so give yourself some extra time. westbound 80 just a crawl as you work your way away from richmond towards the bay bridge toll plaza. westbound 237 stacking up as well working between 880 and 101. westbound 4 slow both directions, delays through there lots of slick surfaces out there. and 880 northbound not bad. southbound brake lights towards hayward. no accidents along 880 but slow a

let's check the roads now with gianna. >> good morning. so we are dealing with some slick roads out there so take it easy heading out this morning. here's a look at conditions at the bay bridge toll plaza. we had an early-morning accident that slowed things down and you're backed up pretty significantly here. the metering lights are on. the incline, as well. now on the maps we have a broken-down vehicle stuck on the dumbarton bridge westbound so it is causing a bit of a backup as you work your way through there blocking lanes. use the san mateo bridge in the meantime, as an alternate, free- flowing in both directions no slowdowns. calaveras an accident on the right shoulder but still slow altamont pass business as usual westbound 580 towards 680 and don't forget if you are heading to the sierra, grab your chains for a i-80 and for highway 50. looks like you're going to need chains there this morning. they are holding vehicles at truckee due to spinouts. mass transit looking good. that's your morning drive. >>> the food and drug administrat

let's check the roads. >> it's liz, no, gianna. you're in today.ake it away. >> it's actually a busy morning. bart an update on major delays. this is happening in downtown oakland. there was a disabled maintenance vehicle stuck on the tracks between mcarthur and 19th. now it's going to affect trains between fremont, sfo and millbrae. bart says trains may be delayed up to an hour. the good news is they removed the vehicle. they are starting to move trains through the area but again, that's going to take most of the morning to get things right back on track there. again expect major delays right now possibly up to an hour. of course we'll continue to keep you updated. the good news is the rest of mass transit is on time. ace, muni, caltrain, ferries, no delays on the freeways now. so if you are taking your car instead of bart you will be okay so far, so good on the roads. just keep in mind later on it is a busy weekend in san francisco. we have a lot going on with fleet week, america's cup, also closures at howard and 3rd so you're going to see extra
