let's check on the roads with gianna. >> today it looks much better. checking your roadways right now, looking good on most of the bay area bridges with no delays. we have a few cars in the cash lanes but overall an easy ride from the maccarthur maze into san francisco. all approaches showing no delays. traveling along the peninsula southbound on 101 at whipple avenue, both directions off to a great start. out of the south bay in san francisco, 36 minutes and no delays. at the south bay we have a few problems. at southbound 17 in idlewild, we have a crash on the shoulder. we have a surface street problem at bear creek road, off the roadway but we have activity as they clear the lanes. other trouble spots, traveling through morgan hill at northbound 101, sensors showing us in the green. it is moving at speed and most of the south bay is off to a great start. no delays on 101, 280 looking good to the peninsula. at highway 4, a trouble lowell where vehicle could have got stuck in the mud. so far travel times are good on the east shore freeway, 15 minutes

let's check in with gianna for a look at that traffic. >>> this is a look at the 880. no accidents or incidents. no road closures for construction. so you should have a pretty easy ride if you're traveling near here. no delays near the macarthur maze. an easy ride all the way down into fremont. no delays, extra volume, it is that commute direction. hopefully it lighter than usual. traffic is moving nicely. and if you're heading towards the bay bridge, you should be good to go. no metering lights are on. and let's go on over to our maps. a couple of the spots we have been monitoring, the westbound 580. we have a big rig involved. so it looks like injuries have been reported. icmeanow oachenyou t yellow pass that car traffic is very quiet. this vehicle reported along the 101. this one is still stuck in lanes but traffic is really light along the north and southbound at 101. in an update on mass transit if you plan on taking part or the ace train you have a modified schedule. regular scheduled they will be running on a saturday schedule. there is a special mlk train. >>>

let's check in with gianna with a look at the e re-examine san jose and an active scene continues due to a fatal hit-and-run accident just after midnight. this is north 10th street and east santa clara street east of highway 87. this happened around 12:35 am just after midnight. the san jose police depart hit by the van traveling through the crosswalk. the van fled the scene and she was pronounced dead at the scene. it is still a very active scene and we have kiet do heading out to get us re things wouping wel continue to keep update if you faafc is pretty light bu early enough with no delays north 101 out of san jose with 280 off to a great start. at highway 4 traffic is moving nicely and they are clocking high speeds westbound through antioch and pittsburg and no delays at the east shore freeway. we have our photographer standing by at highway 4 and it 680 with the groundbreaking happening for the highway 4-680 improvement project as they hope to improve traffic. this area gets called to down for the morning and afternoon commute. the earlier construction and it looks like the lanes

. >>> let's check in with gianna on the traffic. >> on highway 84 eastbound, we have big rig that is stuck on its side. the problem is that it is carrying 20,000 pounds of content and they are trying to unload that big rig which is locking up this mess. they are diverting traffic to the southbound 880. at the south bay on another part of 24 we have affected traffic signals. apparently they may have been blown down and they are over the center divide so use caution with the four way stop through that area. at 280 connection, the left lane is blocked with the vehicle facing the wrong way with flooding reported around that area. we have wind advisory on some of the bay area bridges. here is a look at the venecia bridge with windy conditions and a wind advisory in effect for the bay bridge right now and the bay bridge toll plaza is very light with no delays in or out of san francisco. we have wind advisory in effect at the richmond san rafael bridge. looking at 580-680 westbound traffic, so conditions reported threw the pass. the nimitz freeway is still one of the bright spots but still
