gianna? >>> good morning. from the traffic center, taking a look at the roadways right now. we've got our eye on this trouble spot along 580. eastbound. this is what you are looking at the area of castro valley right around eden canyon. a motorcycle accident. it is causing a big backup here and we've got a couple of lanes still completely shut down and you can see fire crews were on scene there. working on this trouble spot. two more cars involved as well it's causing slow and go conditions as you work your way through there. looking at the maps, speeds are dimming down to about 18 miles per hour in that area. so definitely give yourself some extra time if you are traveling eastbound 580 think castro valley and just a heads- up. chp just issued a traffic alert on the trouble spot northbound 101 at bay shore boulevard. a stalled box truck stuck in lanes. >>> i'm anne makovec at the live news desk. and let's take a live look at capitol hill right now where bay area tech executives are going to be on the hot seat today. set to appear before congress. the ceos of amazon, apple.

here's mary. >>> yeah, that's right gianna. so we are looking at warm temperatures inland and mild around the bay and cool at the coast once again. very similar to yesterday maybe just a degree warmer compared to yesterday. but that typical summer weather pattern in place for us. here's a live look with the salesforce tower camera as we look east. and you can see it's a gray start to our day. with those clouds and patchy fog this morning. we are in the 50s to about 60 degrees so 60 in concord and oakland 59 and 58 in livermore and 57 in san francisco. 58 in san jose and 55 for santa rosa. with those clouds. so taking you through the day, along the coast we're looking at low 60s and breezy southwesterly winds about 10 to 20 miles per hour. low 60s there. around the bay, mid- to upper 60s to low 70s. so mild and breezy around the bay with that clearing and our inland locations topping out in the 80s. even some of the warmest spots will be in the low 90s antioch and brentwood. you typically see the hottest locations as we head thr

let's get right to gianna with more details on that. this is getting expensive, gianna. >> i know. i know. but you know it's something they're going to be doing for the next several years and the fast track toll will increase from $7.35 to $7.70. we'll also cost you 20 cents more to pay by plate and carpoolers will now pay $5.70 which is up from $5.35. now the increases are part of the five year program. the district approved it last year to maintain the bridge and its transit services. now to that end, golden gate ferry and bus fares are also going up today. so something you definitely want to plan for. now as we take a look at the roadways right now, jumping over to our maps, i can tell you that traffic is moving nicely out of marin county. with no delays and we did have some early morning road work on the southbound side of 101 heading into the city near the waldo grade. but as you can see in our sensors all that has been cleared so no delays everything moving nicely at the golden gate bridge with no troubles but yeah the fare increases are kind of tough sometimes. westbound 580

another check on the roads with gianna. hi gianna. >> hey michelle. good morning. and good morning to you. if you are headed out the door and you plan on taking the bay bridge toll plaza, it is getting busy out there. the metering lights were turned on about 6:13 this morning. and we're starting to see cars stacking up making that ride westbound out of oakland emeryville heading into san francisco. a live look here at the bay bridge and you can see things are getting just a bit busy as you head through there. it is slowing down also on the west end heading into san francisco. so a little sluggish coming off the skyway. other than that, we have got the usual stuff along the altamont pass and in fact those delays pretty much the slowest spots right around grantline. but extending past that you can see that line of yellow on our maps and little slow through there near north flynn. and no crashes anymore along 580. they just cleared this accident westbound near mcarthur and all lanes now open and traffic is moving at the limit. as far as your travel times go. 31 minute

gianna? >>> good morning. taking a look at the roadways right now, westbound 580 well west of grant line. we have reports of a crash there over to the right shoulder. traffic getting busy anyway on the westbound side out of tracy. as you work towards that grant line area. we've got some slower speeds there. friday, so not seeing as many cars on the roadways so your travel times only about 26 minutes 205 over to 680. the good news is, eastshore freeway and highway 4 and 101 all in the green with no delays. 101 at clear field over to sfo. that's a look at the morning drive. >>> i'm anne makovec at the live news desk. and we are keeping our eye on several fires burning in the bay area starting off in alameda county. fire crews making progress on this grass fire in a rural area near livermore. it has scorched more than 250 acres since it started last night near tesla and mclohl ad last report, it was about 60% contained. luckily not many homes nearby. but we did spot some crews there dousing flames near one proper

now a check on the road with the cars, gianna, how is it looking out there in traffic world? >>> yeah, it's getting a bit busy in some spots but that looks very cool for somebody else. that's a very interesting concept. taking a look at the roadways, no accidents in the altamonte pass and that's good news but brake lights westbound i-80 and 285 connector out of tracy. a slow ride at least from that connector over towards just beyond grant line with a 25 minute drive time. that's our slowest spot this morning and reports of fire activity on the northbound 101 ramp from sierra point parkway and looks like it's over to the shoulder not causing delays on the main line of 101 along the peninsula and traffic clocking in very nice speeds working your way through there. traffic along the freeway and 880 in both directions and 580 clear through oakland and oakland will resume the parks meter operations and time limit parking enforcement. that does start today and standard rates apply. if you're wackerring in and around oakland, a heads up, you will not have to feed that meter. san mat

gianna has a check on traffic.ng. >> good morning, we do have hotspots this morning so if you are going out the door and you plan on taking 101 southbound, there is some late running roadwork that is still locked. it is still out there. this is due to the alemany project. the closures will be ineffective tonight and tomorrow but things are supposed to be clear by 5:00. the good news is you can use 280 as an alternate as you approach the connector and it looks like things are getting a little better along 101 as we are seeing sensors updating to the second and gaining a bit better. across the bay in oakland there is the building fire. road closures are in effect on martin luther king jr. road between 34th street and 29th street, so try to avoid the area if you can. you can always use broadway, poplar avenue or others to avoid those delays or closures in and around the area. westbound 580 has some brake lights. it is the usual stuff. if you plan on going towards allatoona pass, it is a little breezy so be careful. it

let's check in with gianna for look at traffic. >> it is monday and if you're going to work, we are starting to see some slowing conditions around 580 westbound into the allatoona pass. delays are starting westbound around the tracee area near mountain house in any get a bit of a break as you work your way towards grant line. the good news is once you're past that, things are pretty clear into the livermore valley and if you're going towards 680 traffic is at the limit making it through the dublin interchange. we are seeing a ride from 205 over towards 680 elsewhere, we had a couple of early morning trouble spots, one around 880 southbound and all the activity is over to the right shoulder and chp is on scene. it is a one car crash where a car got stuck in the bushes. they did call out a tow truck with the cable to pull it out of the area. you will see some brake lights in the meantime. elsewhere, the bay bridges not too bad. there are a few cars but overall an easy ride into san francisco and all of the bay area bridges are client. there is the golden gate bridge. you can see traffic is ver

let's check in with gianna for look at traffic. >> as mary mentioned, it is breezy. there is a wind advisory in effect for the alatoona pass. it is a little gusty as you travel through there. we are seeing some delays on westbound 580, starting around 205. east of there, out of tracy, we will have some slow speeds. the crash should be here. it is a couple of cars on the right side of the roadway. again, windy conditions for the san mateo bridge. there is a wind advisory. be careful as you go across the span. we are not seeing any have to drive times. it was pretty quiet so far at 13 minutes to travel between 880 towards 101. the wind advisory extends towards the san mateo county area. a big bridge is off to a start. no delays to report. clear out before you get to san francisco. everything is pretty quiet. there's a slight delay on southbound 101. there is some construction in the area. overall, it is an easy ride. there are no major snags. traffic is in the south bay with her right out of 101 and 280 and 87. we will take a look at public transit in the next report.

let's check in with gianna for a look at traffic. >>> let's get a look at the roadways.f you are going out taking 580 it is business as usual around allatoona pass. we are getting a bit busy. it looks like it is originating out of the mount house area in tracy to grant line. there are more brake lights around northglenn. at drive times are right around 26 minutes from 205 to 680. that morning rush is getting a little busy. we have a crash in the south bay on northbound 280 at 85. a couple of cars are tangled up and one lane is still blocked. they did call out crews to the scene to get this cars out of the lanes. it is quite early and we are not seeing a lot of slowdowns but one way is still blocked. that clears. u know when told you can always take 101 if you want to avoid everything there. the day toll plaza looks great. all of our bay area bridges are pretty quiet with no delays on the golden gate. things are moving at the limit in both directions. it is pretty light out of marin county and it is around 101, 13 minutes with no troubles once you get on 2101 and checking

let's look at traffic with gianna. >> as we look at the roadways, on this tuesday if you're going out the door, there are a handful of accidents. there was one around 98. it is over to the shoulder and is not causing any delays but that is still a heads up if you're going towards 880. you might run into some slight delays for that activity to the shoulder. we are seeing a busy right out of tracy and allatoona pass. we have brake lights and it extends all the way to north linden. that morning drive is already getting busy this morning. also, we are getting word of a wind advisory in effect. be extra careful. your drive times is still in the green so that is good news. 20 minutes on west on 580, and the freeway is all right on westbound format. that is a 13 minute drive time. i'm getting reports of an accident westbound right around highway for . it does not look like any lanes are blocked. it was reported as a hit-and- run. as we take a look at traffic conditions in the north bay, there is an accident along 29 northbound and wally road. one vehicle may have gone ff the side. that is lo

let's check in with gianna for a look at traffic on this friday morning. >>> good morning. happy friday. well, taking a look at the roadways early this morning, you are in luck. good to go. live look at the bay bridge toll plaza. and it is very light this morning. good conditions out of the east bay working into the city. traffic is moving nicely off the eastshore freeway as well. light conditions expected today for the holiday weekend. a lot of folks have the day off. as well as maybe taking ab early weekend. so golden gate bridge looking good as well. no delays right now. coming out of marin county. 101 both directions pretty light north and southbound and not seeing any troubles right now through the waldo grade. so if you are taking 101, out of marin, traffic should be moving nicely. the san mateo bridge a great start morning. just to give you perspective, taillights are working their way to 101 and getting on to 101 through the peninsula both directions looking good and the east bay heading to 880 and hayward. traffic is light along the nimitz freeway. the travel times
