let's check with gianna for a look at traffic. how are the roadways shaping up? >>> it is a busy start to your thursday drive if you plan on taking 101 out of south city. we have a crash at sierra point. it's been out there for just over a half hour, maybe 45 minutes. chp issued a traffic alert. slow north bound 101 near sierra point. unfortunately this is due to a vehicle that rolled over. it did land back on its wheels but there are major injuries reported. they did shut down all lanes. they are in the process of opening a couple to let traffic get through but in the meantime it is pretty sluggish. 280 is a good choice. everything is clear. travel time last check with 11 minutes from 380 to 80. that may be changing due to the closure of the lanes. also keeping an eye on the ride tracy into altamont pass. it is busy for super commuters. we have brake lights from mount house as you get onto 580. we are down to 16 miles per hour around grant line. it stays slow all the way to about north flynn. then you will get a break and things get crowded near the dublin inter

let's check with gianna for a look at traffic. is it friday light? >> i am crossing my fingers we get a little bit of that rain. it is friday light. really the only place we are seeing brake lights or issues is the ride into the altamont pass. super commuters, you are likely used to this, no major problems west bound, just slower speeds starting to pop up as you connect 205 onto 580. once you are passed that it looks better the rest of the way with no delays. west bound 580, head lights towards the 680 connector and things are moving nicely. 33 minutes 205 to 680. >>> as we look at oakland, the city is a step closer to keeping a's in the east bay now that the park got the impact report certified. joycelyn moran joins us live. there are mixed emotions about this. >> reporter: absolutely. really this was a long discussion. it included hours of public comment and that is fitting given that the entire process has been a long one. mayor libby schaaf is calling last night's vote a historic moment. it puts city and a's closer to reaching agreement. council

. >> gianna franco has what you need to know if you are heading out there. >>> if you are headed into san francisco this weekend for the annual chinese new year parade and festival, make sure you plan ahead. there are quite a few street closures in place for the festivities. the parade is saturday and starts at 5:30. it's at market and second street. that's where it will launch from and will end on columbus between pacific and washington. there is a two day chinese new year community fair near grant, california and broadway and that is in effect throughout the weekend. street closures start today through sunday night, around gary square, parts of the financial district. muni reroutes will be in effect. check that schedule. muni is one of the easiest ways to get to the parade via market street subway at montgomery station. there will be rides on cable cars and two hour parking at the port smith square garage, two hour free parking free for the rest of february. bart is also a great option to get into san francisco. take to montgomery or pal street. those will be the closest stations to

let's check with gianna for a look at traffic. how are the roadways on this friday? >>> we are tracking a few delays into the altamont pass, a bit of slowing off of 205 onto 580. they are working to clear the crash west bound 580. it was to the right shoulder and they're pushing it out of lanes completely off the freeway. a little sluggish there. it is smooth sailing the rest of the way on 580. 27 minutes 205 towards 680. east shore freeway is okay as far as travel time. we do have reports of a crash west bound 80 at mcbride avenue not blocking lanes but could be to the right shoulder and right now not seeing a big impact on traffic. that is an area that gets busy after 6:00. bay bridge toll plaza, clear. no delays into san francisco. seven minutes is it from the maze into the city. if you are taking the golden gate bridge out of marin, things are off to a good start. south 101 from highway 37 across golden gate bridge into san francisco is looking good. a 12 minute commute across san mateo bridge between 880 and 101. on 101 along the peninsula, traffic is moving nic

let's check in with gianna. >>> it sounds like it'll be a cold day today. grab that jacket. we are starting to track the brake lights, westbound 580 out of tracy. some red and yellow popping up on our seven source. sensors. not bad. maybe a little slower as you get toward the red portion will. keep that in minda if are you going toward the dublin. travel time 30 minutes. 205 toward 680. that's the only spot we are seeing any brake lights at this early hour. things will get a lot busy america that 6:00 hour. if are you out early now is a good time to be on the roadways. chp issued a few wind advisories for most of the bay area bridges. if are you taking the bay bridge or the dunbarton. be careful if you are traveling in a high profile vehicle. it's a quiet commute under ten minutes out of the east bay, out of oakland into san francisco. live look here at the san mateo bridge looking at a 12 minute ride between 880 and 101. southbound 101 from highway 37 as you head into san francisco. that is just about a 19 minute commute. no delays on 101. you can see in that live shot of t
