gianna franco is standing by with a look at our roads for us and how is the weather looking, jessica? >> it's calm but today is one of the hottest days we've had in a lot of different areas. we start off with triple digits. >> whoa. >> we'll highlight that in a second. mostly 90s inland bay. live look from the mark hopkins hotel cam, patchy fog closer to half moon bay, patchy coastal fog will stick around until the sun rises and starts bleeding off. to add to that, we're dealing with high fire danger. a red flag warning got extended yesterday for solano county. that will last until tomorrow around 11:00 a.m. for all of solano county due to relative humidity sticking really low and to add to that, that offshore wind. to add to that we're dealing with hot temperatures and it's warm around the bay no matter where you live. let's look at what we can expect today for daytime highs. upper 90s inland areas, 80s in the bay along, 70s along the coast if you live near pacifica, it is a complete different setup than what we were dealing with yesterday. we're warming up a lot today. don't worry.

gianna, is it looking good out there? >> looking busy.ore and more cars on the roadway as we get closer to the 6:00 hour. in fact, we've got the brake lights building. this is mobile 5 cruising along westbound 580 towards the dublin interchange. you can see that in the right lanes connecting onto 680 already backing up this morning. if you're a super commuter getting ready to head out the door, this is what you can expect. we're starting to see things slow down. east of there is where the brake lights start building for that ride coming out of the tracy area into the altamont. you can see speeds down about 11 miles per hour in some spots. the usual stuff for the 580 commute. brake lights in the south bay. about 40 minutes from san jose to sfo. slow northbound 101 coming the the 280/680 connector. not a lot of crashes reported this morning. just the usual stuff. starting to see the traffic build out of san martine into morgan hill. live look at 880, the nimitz freeway. traffic is moving nicely here. northbound a little later things will ge

gianna franco is here and darren peck. yesterday it was foggy. it is a little bit different. >>> we are looking at the deck of the golden gate. it's better in terms of fog but it's going to be a cloudier day in general. if you look from treasure island back towards the bay bridge, it's cloudy. thankfully you see the span of the bridge. it's not like clouds are obscuring towers. that's good. temperatures are identical to yesterday. 48 santa rosa, low 50s most locations inland. in terms of locations where we might encounter fog, at this point, it would be north bay. even if they were okay, visibility goes three miles. we'll watch the clouds which are widespread stay throughout much of today in fact. if you are inland you will get breaks of sunshine. sunny and relatively warm at 72. it is five or six degrees cooler than yesterday. for the coast we will probably not get out of the mid 50s all day. fremont 69, 71 pleasanton. san rafael 66. let's see how the drive is doing. >>> it's good. we are off to a very quiet start. talking about the golden gate

gi gianna, how are things going?'re starting to see more volume on the roadways as the volume gets busier. you're moving at an okay pace overall. a live look from mobile 5 this morning, it is on the carquinez bridge, headed in that direction, looks like traffic is on the bridge there. traffic is moving nicely westbound 80 through the carquinez bridge area. so, so far so good. east freeway ride not seeing brake lights or issues west of here, headed into richmond and berkeley, traffic is light. let's look at one of our other bridges, this is the bay bridge and things are moving nicely here also. typically the metering lights don't get flipped on until 5:45 in the morning. if you're up early and getting ready to hit the roadways right now, at least within the next 20 minutes, no backup at the bay bridge. headed in and out of half moon bay there is a bit of a snag this morning. highway 1 is open both directions. it's 92 east and westbound where you're going to see a closure just east of highway 1, due to a downed power l
