with these downpours, we look at 2 inches of rain per hour in pockets from woodbury, just west of gibbsro and over the air pot as well. because of the higher humidity when you step out the door you feel it, there is little water drop lets in the atmosphere waiting to be squeezed out and when a downpour pops we ring out the atmosphere. this particular picture from michael from christiana delaware shows over an inch and a half of rain fell in 15 minutes, it's drainage system can't hold that kinds of water, and it's car is halfway submerged no that water and it's flash flooding, it quickly rises and then quickly subsides once the downpour moves on, in fact if you see a road covered by the flash flooding turn around and you don't want to drown, find an alternate route, only one foot of moving water can move your car. it doesn't take much water to create powerful force. temperature-wise we are in the 70s where we see rain and pockets of 80s where it has been dry but everybody is muggy at the present time. the downpours are mainly confined south and east of philadelphia and it's lehigh valley

i learned a lot thanks to others in the vp office, axelrod, gibbs, others on the president's team. to go to the other part of your question -- you know, i was talking to someone yesterday about this. i tried very hard. i was not a traditional old-school reporter in that i was not an advocate i did not take sides in my reporting. i did not feel like i had a straitjacket but on me. i felt liberated. that only works if you actually believe in and agree with the policies you are advocating. i certainly did. but the problem for people not only in this job at other jobs in a white house or administration. you take a job because it's a good career move but you don't agree with what you're doing? that's a risky proposition especially if you're having to articulate and speak about it publicly. there are strongly differing views inside the policy process. those are expressed and the president and vice president insist on that. you obviously know a lot more about what's going on when you are a press secretary. i understand what mike was saying when he said you tell the truth slowly. you only
