i just first of all, want to thank staff gil kelly and my staff that spent a lot of time on this we think we have a solution that was piloted we all agree with some of the streets got wider but most of them are still at a width that's comfortable for pedestrians and bicyclists the streets that are wierlgd those r should be treated different so the travel plains lanes are no more than 10 feet there's strong data that says that drivers drive faster when the streets are wider here very much aware and work with the fire department. it is will critical this issue came up with this particular project but has made us realize we have to improve our enter departmental confusion we have a broad consensus we are working on an agreement with the departments how that will work we believe the existing system does not work well in terms of even if getting ahead of those issues before we have the 11th hour problems. i want to thank the commission that's is an important issue this is an important aspect the streets. we added up a allows of projects we know about in the that i'm there's 15 city promotions
