this is my nephew gilbert, they are binding those strips of wood together and using that against the window to, at least, be able to stabilize the window so it doesn't shatter. the plan is to take the bed apart and use the wood underneath the bed. and in worst case scenario, take the dining room table and put it against the windows. that is duct tape. so there is no way to break the structure. my mom has storm shutters. these are metal shutters and they are bolted. she is going to ride it out there. essentially in a tin can completely sealed. she has decided to stay. she is one of those people who are not budge. as for my sister and her children, they are going to hunker down in the safest place in the house which will be the walk in closet in the master bedroom. that no windows. i can tell you, for them and for me, 3,000 miles away, this is ne nerve wracking. we are going to take you back to san francisco where evacuees from miami who did get out of the storm path are arriving. >> best of luck in these next several days. another move by the trump administration is stirring up emotio
