the gilroy garlic festival is kicking off this weekend. and marla tellez joins us live from gilroy. ice cream? >> just garlic. this is just garlic. can you smell it? my goodness. this is the 33rd annual gilroy garlic festival. it's the only three-day event where garlic is king. we've all had the more traditional things like garlic pizza. what about garlic ice cream, watermelon, garlic frogs legs, the list goes on and on. we're in gourmet alley, this is the heart and soul of the festival. we have our pyro chefs with us, ashley and steve and you guys are firing in the hole. they are going to make up calimari. garlic calimari of course. check out the flames on this friday morning. you can find them out here all weekend long. it's more than just the food at the park. joining me is susie connell. you have been with the festival many years. what can people expect? >> we have three stages of entertainment, there's approximately 45 different bands, one of the new up and coming country singer, kip moore, and then we have the garlic cook-off, the garlic showdown with four professional chefs s
