louis regional hospital in gilroy. the one-day strike starts at 7:00 p.m. and lasts until 6:59 a.m. tomorrow. this comes after the sale of st. louis to santa clara county with the deal that more than 700 nurses part of the california nurses association or cna, are required to join another union. the registered nurses professional association purchase the strike is to protest that move. in a statement to news, county smith calls the strike unlawful and said that cn not taken steps necessary to represent county employee. the county took over the two hospitals which filed for bankruptcy in august. we have been in contact with santa clara county. they are preparing a statement for us. we are hoping to get their side and reaction to that strike. continue to stick with us. we'll continue to follow the story this morning wayne the next hour or so, we'll get a response from the county. >>> it definitely should be grounded. i don't think that they should be flying any of these planes if they have problems with them. >> more countries are temporarily boeing 737 max. australia, south the middl

authorities say it happened near gilroy over a period of months on a stretch of highway 152 also known as the pacheco pass highway. authorities say someone has been throwing objects, believed to be rocks, at moving cars on the highway.its been going on for about a year between case de fruta parkway and dinosaur point road in both directions. at least 10 incidents have been reported and in most cases, it occurred at night, however, the most recent incident happened in broad daylight. no one has been seriously injured, but some victims were hit by the shattered glass, authorities say. chp is encouraging residents to call right away and do not wait to report the incident. happening today.... san francisco mayor london breed is announcing the appointment of a new public defender. the announcement comes after the death of long time public defender jeff adachi. the 59-year old husband and father died last month after having dinner with a friend in the city's north beach neighborhood. police have ruled out foul play. today's announcement is happening at 9:30 on the mayor's balcony.
