so this entire region right now from gilroy, morgan hill, westward over into the santa cruz mountains and there has been some thunder and lightning mixed in there. but right now things are beginning to calm down just a bit. this is a level one storm still on the exclusive abc seven storm impact scale for tonight. we expect the intensity of the storm to continue diminishing, but there will be some scattered showers, maybe some brief isolated downpours and still a chance of an isolated thunderstorm or two. forecast animation starting at 6 p.m. shows that the most active weather will remain in the south bay. while there's a chance of a light shower somewhere else. but most of the remainder of the bay area will see calm weather tonight. however, overnight in the middle of the night, we'll see a little line of showers reaching down from the sacramento area southwestward through the central part of the bay area, but it won't amount to much and it should be all over by about 6:00 tomorrow morning, leading us into calm and at least partly clear conditions for the start of easter sunday. right

we are seeing showers on san jose down to gilroy on 101. we do have some heavier rainfall to the north of the bay area. and we actually are going to be seeing some thunderstorm development likely along this path of cloud cover as we work our way through the morning here over the next few hours, some of that convection will spread further to the south and the rest of the bay where we're sitting in the sierra nevada snow continues to pile up. blizzard conditions are in effect right now. and snow is only going to increase in intensity through the day. what we have in the bay is our own thunder storm potential. as you can see, those pockets of heavy rain for the north bay through the morning and a chance of those thunderstorms spreading southward through the rest of the day. on through sunday. we'll continue to see strongly advise avoiding mountain travel, 0 visibility up there because of the blizzard conditions were talking about 75 to 80 miles per hour. wind gusts in the sierra are going to contribute to. i'm just roadways that are completely
