charities feeling burned after somebody stole more than $10,000 worth of tickets for the upcoming gilroy garlic festival. bob redell is live in gilroy and has an update. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. you know at first organizers for the gilroy garlic festival were hoping tickets had disappeared from their office. but when they started showing up recently for sale on craigslist and facebook, organizers realized they had been stolen. we're talking about 1,000 tickets worth $12,500. the festival wants to get the word out because they want to warn people if you bought any of those tickets they will not be honored at the gate this weekend. ticket takers will check the serial numbers. they are numbered 05,0001 to 050500 for adult, 1,00001 to 100500 for kids. if somebody doesn't cough up the money and leaves the event that could mean lost revenue. that loss could trickle to the nonprofits and charities that the festival helps. groups like the gilroy gator swim club. >> it's very frustrating and disappointing for us because we use these funds and it's our mission to use these fund to support communit

someone stole 1000 tickets to the gilroy garlic festival this weekend and then sold them on line. those tickets will not be good at the gate, the garlic festival raises money for more than 200 charities. >> they're stealing from people who really need the money. we work on behalf of so many organizations large and small and the community. and when i say we, i mean the 4000 volunteers that are out here who are part of the festival. it is their blood and sweat and tears that goes into this event. >> those stolen tickets that will not be accepted are light purple in color, killed when police have no suspects. transportation leaders are expected to vote today on a plan to give kids free rides on muni here in san fransisco. the pilot program allows free attorneys for 40,000 low-income youth, it would cost about $4 million. three options right now are being considered, two of those would also provide funding for star projects in other counties as well. coming up next, a scare at sea world after a trader was dragged underwater by a killer whale and it was all caught on tape. you will see
