this is 95 at girard avenue. this is southbound you can see southbound volume starting to build. but what i want to have you remember here about this is not this morning but later on a construction project is expected to start on the northbound side between girard and allegheny. it's going to be extension of the project out there so this is going to cause a huge headache as we've been telling you about. so this is the area between girard and allegheny where the construction is going to be happening. you have a few options. that's where we're going to deal with the construction, you could take the boulevard, the boulevard has its own problems as far as volume goes in the morning. or if your travels would take to you new jersey, route 130 not a bad option. so to give you other options keep that in mind. platt bridge, the area bridges looking good. >> happening today construction will begin on a veterans memorial in bucks county. the monument will be built at veterans square mark off edge wood and peacock roads. officials say it took six years to design, to plan and raise money for

approaching girard, lehigh avenue. now, because of the weather, penndot postponed the beginning of that big construction project, that was supposed to start last night. so, here's the deal. current work zone as we just saw goes from race up through girard avenue. now, tomorrow night they're going to start that new project from girard up through allegheny, where again, all three lanes will be moved over to the right side. you are going see the barriers come in, there will be no shoulder, and basically, what is right now the right shoulder will become the right travel lane, as you head northbound between center city all the way up to allegheny avenue. an accident in the neighborhood, the turnpike connector bridge, eastbound, right near route 130, and some downed wires, in chester county along warren avenue at shepherd road. after couple of problems yesterday, during the day, mass transit, septa's regional rail lines, everything is back to normal and ready for the start after morning rush hour, nicole, back over to you. >

girard avenue interchange. crews rebuilding and widening a stretch of the road on i-95 north from race to allegheny. katy is live in fish town. you talked to some drivers about the situation. what are they telling you? >> reporter: tracy, you can imagine a lot of drivers are already dreading the detours associated with this. and we're talking about a short stretch just from girard to allegheny. let's go to the maps and show you so you have a better perspective. this is the area where work will begin tonight at 10:00 p.m. it's a mile and a half but crews are rebuilding the road. this project is the second largest in penn dot history costing nearly $212 million. they reconstruct the exits, replace bridges, add retaining walls, install signage to name some of the work. work will begin tonight as i said at 10:00 p.m. and last until 5:00 a.m., which means at this time tomorrow drivers will be seeing lanes shifting and closures. this is what some of the drivers have to say. >> i guess i'll be leaving like an hour and

we have been talking a lot about the northbound lanes of 95 here by girard because there is a traffictern shift this morning as we advertised the last week or association it happened overnight and they've shifted all three lanes over toward the right side of the roadway. you can see the cone here on the left and the construction signs. this is really just an extension of that northbound work zone there we already had so i don't expect it to cause huge unusual delays but that change did happen during the overnight hours. also watching a crash this morning in moorestown along 38 at mount laurel road. was cause something slowing coming off of 295 onto 38n west deptford there's the crash involving the train and the pedestrian along jobstown road near 44 by the post office. one person was transported to the hospital from that scene. and in wilmington we had the awful fire overnight along bird street at maryland avenue and maryland of a remains blocked. tam, i know you have more details on what happened there in wilmington. >> indeed we do. we've been watching this breaking developments her
