giuliani gets subpoenaed.ks up more steam as house democrats subpoena rudy giuliani for documents pertaining to ukraine following a similar subpoena to mike pompeo. no good reason. president trump ratchets up his rhetoric on the impeachment accusing his chief investigator of treason. tonight the poll shows a growing number of americans favor impeaching the president. >>> president trump's first supporter in the house of representatives chris collins agrees to resign from congress and plead guilty to insider trading.

so what we know is that kurt volker had actually met with giuliani. he had talked with giuliani. he had even, according to the whistle-blower complaint, met with zelensky, president zelensky of ukraine and talked to him about how to navigate the demands made by president trump over this summer. so clearly kurt volker was in the center of it, and we still have a lot of unanswered questions because the state department has said on the record that kurt volker did, indeed, connect a zelensky aide with rudy giuliani. but they haven't gone any further than that. so we need to hear from the state department about what kurt volker was doing, and he clearly had had enough of it. the state department hadn't come out defending him in the last week. instead, we had rudy giuliani on fox news waving his cell phone, showing off text messages that he said were from kurt volker. he said that he was doing everything he was doing because the state department told him to. and now we have kurt volker, who is the person he was talking to, resigning from the state department. >> the other question, of

"post" reports that democrats are already examining whether trump and rudy giuliani sought to manipulate ukrainian government into helping trump's re-election campaign. giuliani just told chris that he did ask ukraine to investigate joe biden after first denying that. what's your reaction? >> my reaction is, what is rudy's role? he says he does something and then tells the president. as an attorney for ten years i absolutely never did that. is he acting in his official capacity or unofficial capacity? obviously he isn't in any official position where he had to be approved by the senate. what acts are he carrying out? how much of it is for his personal gain? how much of it is to broke the president of the united states? carry out methods that can only be described as byzantine and bizarre. >> congressman, the acting dni, joseph mcguire, will appear before your committee next week. how do you get him to change his mind and release this complaint to you? >> i don't know that we will. i t

and now rudy giuliani is playing that job. we have to take a step back and realize there's a broader context here. no limit, no boundaries. that's how donald trump has lived his life personally, as a businessman, and conducted himself as president. those are the facts. and whether the minority leader in the house kevin mccarthy who i thought was a republican who stood for national security and i'm sure he's got statements in the past with the invasion of crimea in the ukraine now all of a sudden doesn't want to go near this topic because he thinks democrats are coming after the president given what the president has said he already did. so the fact that giuliani is freelancing here is really at the behest of the president. the fact that mike pompeo is going on television saying the bidens should be investigated for something that is completely unfounded. when he's secretary of state, he's supposed to be running foreign policy. not trying to get a foreign leader to provide political dirt to help the president of the united stat

"the other thing, there's a lot of talk about biden's son, that biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that. so whatever you can do with the attorney general would be great. biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution, so if you can look
