it began with a traffic stop yesterday afternoon on glebe road. police say the driver hit an officer with a pick up truck, causing them to open fire. that driver was hit and is now at a hospital in critical condition. the officer is recovering from serious but non-life threatening injuries. the incident forced the i-395 southbound ramp to be closed throughout the day. it reopened a little before midnight last night. a six year old boy is dead after getting hit by a car in southeast d-c. the crash happened around 8:30 last night on livingston the boy was taken to the hospital where he later died. it's still unclear exactly what happened, but d-c police say they are interviewing the driver. happening today.. a community meeting will be held on whether to rename j.e.b. stuart high school in falls church. the school's name is controversial because the school is named after a confederate general. it's a heated and passionate debate from both sides. the meeting will include presentations both for and against the renaming of the school. the meeting will
