glen eagles golf course celebrates its 50th anniversary. i want to thank tom and his staff that have done a tremendous job of rejuvenating the course and making it one of the hidden gems of the city and probably the toughest nine holes anywhere. i have another special announcement and presentation to make today, and i want to ask gloria to stand up for a second. gloria has served as 5428 and a half years. gloria has had a positive impact on our parks, playgrounds, special projects. gov. passionate commitment to preserve and protect the framework and also by generations of gardeners whose true legacy of leadership for the park. her attention for high-quality work performance has resulted in improved this does, better gardening, and a myriad of renovations and bio diversity. her efforts to rein resources and training. she effectively started. on behalf of millions of park visitors, thousands of volunteers, a professional co- workers commo, i want to saluter for her respect for our parks. goomr. president, if you can jon us, congratulations on

lincoln is used for high school golf, glen eagles is known to be one of the most challenging nine hole golf courses in america. sharp park not withstanding the large debate the city has been having is and alistair mackenzie designed course that 85 years old and a tent -- and tends to attract seniors. we have not done as good a job at maintaining at as the course deserves. supervisor avalos: it has some environmental liabilities as well. we know of those. we are going to see a decline this next year. the economy is going to be picking up. it is unclear that we've been in an economic upswing over the past year and at the same time we have seen an upswing in rounds of golf in the city. i'm not clear we are going to see that pick up as the economy picks up yet we will be continuing to see more and more of our general fund covering the cost for golf when the intent has been looking at how a golf can be supporting our parks for the open space fund. we are not quite lining up with the intent on the policy, making sure our policies are in tact and i will be looking at this over the next couple

a conference center called glen area conference center, it's an amazing place there that butts up right in that same area. our home is right there. we have a camp called eagle lake camp that's up the canyon, and on saturday all of that was told by the civil authorities for safety that we needed to evacuate all our guests, our staff, our camp counselors, everybody from our facilities. and at the same time, um, i'm on the phone with all our folks, you know, i'm packing our belongings. and, yeah, so and we have dozens of navigator staff that have been evacuated from their homes that live in that area as well as you know and everyone's seen on the news, thousands of others that have been evacuated. megyn: how, you know, how do you choose when you have to get out on a moment's notice what to take and what to leave? >> we, megyn, we chose memories, we chose things that are close to our heart. we've seen god work in our lives in so many different ways, so we were picking things up that remind us of his providence and his care and his goodness. megyn: it's incredible, the devastation, when you see homes, i mean, people's homes, entire neighborhoods on fire. and som
