let's bring in our legal panel, glenda, i want to start with you here. as we said, the two big questions here are, will bulger testify and should he testify? >> well, i'll tell you, the golden rule typically is that you don't put a defendant on the established unless you're going to talk about it. he may have some things that he wants to tell but typically they don't take the stand. it will be very interesting if he does. >> terry, typically defense attorneys don't want their client to take the stand but you heard glenda say, if whitey bulger wants to talk and what do you do? >> you have to let the client take the stand, if you choose to. he can advise his client not to take the stand but if they choose to, they are going to. as far as controlling what your client says, you can limit the type of questions that you ask your client and control them more on cross-examination but if they want to take the stand and tell their story, that's their absolute right. this is a case where he very well may want to tell his story and may do that. i think also because

i don't think they did. >> judge glenda, have they really established what they think happened as the prosecution? >> and i agree. i do not believe they have met the burden of proof and that really is very difficult because you have a defendant who has been very -- been very articulate about what happened and of course, trayvon is not here to tell his part of the story, but i do think that there is a very likely possibility that the jury may come back with a conviction on the manslaughter charge, and so i think that the prosecution couldn't abandon second degree in their argument today and i think they were wise not to, and i think they had to be tenacious and passionate on that and i respect the fact they did that today. >> i want to play a clip where he was highlighting the inconsistencies in george zimmerman's testimony. >> he originally told the police over and over before and even after his interview he didn't know the name of the street, and then when they let him talk, he gives the name right there. i mean, it common sense. there is only three streets and he's lived there four

we have with us former judge glenda hatchet.lso with us in atlanta as we await the jury's decision, the jurors have been deliberating for nearly eight hours, we want you to know they're certainly putting in a full day's work already. let's bring jury consultant joellen demetrius joining us from phoenix. it's great to have both of you here. people say this is very weird, this is a six-person jury, all female. the six-person part is not weird, in florida, non-capital case, you don't have 12 jurors, you have six. now we have the all-female part. let's start with you, jo ellen. how unusual is that and why do you think the two sides wound up there? >> well, chris, it is unusual to have a single-gender jury. sometimes you end up with that if you have people get off and alternates come in. i think what's important to realize is from both side's perspective they agreed on this jury. we know the prosecutor tried to get rid of a few of the jurors. the judge said no, you can't do that. the same thing is true with the defense. truly this is

let's bring in judge glenda hatchett, former chief presiding judge of the juvenile court. also joining us, mark nijame, cnn legal analyst. judge, what do you make of the comments by juror b-37 about zimmerman being justified, 101% in her words, in shooting trayvon martin? >> i -- i am still struggling with this verdict, wolf. it's no secret that i have always said that i thought that the prosecution didn't meet the burden on second-degree murder but i thought that there should have been a conviction on manslaughter. but to really put more of this now on trayvon martin, in her interview she talks about the fact that he could have avoided this, run away. also, zimmerman could have avoided by this not getting -- following him, getting out of the car that night. and i feel strongly that he would not have gotten out of the car had he not had a gun, which opens up a whole other conversation for us. >> yeah, the point, though, being though though he disobeyed or ejected advice of the 911 operator that was not necessarily illegal. >> it was not. >> what he did. >> it was not. >> i
