glenn: absolutely.hink if you look at the neighborhood, you have china to the north with a population of around 1.2 or 1.3 billion people and india to the west with a population at around 1.5 billion. asean needs to find economics of scale. we think this is what the asean economic community will do. perhaps the other thing which is leading to a bit of skepticism on what is going to drive this movement towards greater economic efficiencies is it is not the political multilateral architecture that you saw in europe. secretary only employs 300 people. the eu commissioned 34,000. the asean will not be an overly bureaucratic structure like the eu is but i think as a political level there is an understanding of the importance of integration, of achieving economies of scale. and more importantly i think there is a very strong commitment to it. rishaad: is china the main loser of a more integrated asean and indeed one that could be an economic rebel? -- rival? glenn: it certainly will be a case that market shar
