glenn "hurricane" schwartz is here with our forecast. hey, glenn. >> hey, vai. yeah, we have cloudy skies out there. you can see across the entire area, the only one of these areas that is reporting rain actually hitting the ground, in philadelphia. keep that in mind as we take a look at the radar in just a minute. now, obviously, the clouds and the east wind keeping the temperatures down. only 49 in west cowen township. that's really chilly, 53 in exton and malvern. 52 in st. david's and chester heights. it is cool. warrington is 52 as well. perk asy, 52. collegeville, 54 degrees. so today, it's just the exception. we were 71 the last two days. 58 degrees today. but back up tomorrow. the average high temperature is 72 for this time of the year. a look at the radar, considering all these places just reporting cloudy skies, because the low levels of the atmosphere are so dry, a lot of that rain is not reaching the ground. we have a little more back to the west. then there's a break and then there's some more. so this is not going to be a continuous thing as we go

glenn, when is this thing ending? >> it's going to take a while.blocking pattern, specifically, known as mega block in the world of mete meteorology and the weather pattern doesn't change for quite a while. we were stuck in the good part of the block in april when we had ten straight days of sunshine and no rain. now, we're in the not so nice part of the omega block. it's only 50 in coatesville, 50 in atlantic city. not much warmer in between. 51 in mt. holly, 51 in vineland, 52 in allentown. in delaware, where we had a tremendous temperature contrast a couple days uz go, some places close to 80 degrees, we're not seeing that anymore. 53 in wilmington, 53 in newark, 54 in odessa, 52 in middletown. you see fairly uniform temperatures. you can see the wind is coming across from the ocean, the delaware bay, so lewis, rehoboth beach, dewey beach, all just 51 degrees. and we also have some showers in delaware and extreme south jersey. another patch of showers up in the allentown area, and more to come back from west virginia and coming into ohio, so we'

meteorologist glenn schwartz has more on the forecast. hello, glenn. >> hey, rosemary. the heat will be heeasier to ta the next few days because the humidity will be low. pennsylvania suburbs, some places in the 70s, some in the 80s. spurryville at 80 degrees, exton at 81, st. david's 83, chester heights 84, so some places are indeed well into the 80s. north wells 81 degrees, gladwin 80 degrees, new hope 83 degrees. now, one of the problems as you get this heat built up in the summertime, and not a whole lot of wind, is you have problems with air quality. we have an air quality alert for the entire area today, probably again tomorrow. and the issue is ozone. ozone near the ground. sunshine interacts with the pollution in the air and creates ozone. ozone on the ground is bad, ozone way up in the atmosphere is good. that helps protect us. but it's unhealthy for elderly, children and people with asthma, so today is a code orange. if it's a red, then everybody with those conditions should really stay indoors. when it's code orange like today, you want to limit your outdoor
