the closure starts near dotsero and goes to glenwood springs. drivers are being sent about 200 miles out of their way... up to steamboat, over to craig, down to rifle and back onto i-70. this is what drivers will be dealing with at least until tomorrow afternoon. and this is why. both lanes of i-70 were covered in boulders the size of small cars. rockslide that happened in glenwood canyon on monday. this one damaged a car and a semi truck. the car was able to drive through, but the truck was stuck - pinned by a huge boulder. thankfully, the driver wasn't hurt. c-dot started to clear away some of the rocks yesterday... while geologists checked the hillside on foot and from the air. c-dot has a lot of work left to do. they've got to remove all the rocks, fix the road and put up netting on the hillside. they hope to have one lane open by tomorrow afternoon. east and westbound traffic will alternate and be led by a pilot car, cheryl. the more we learn about a rock slide in southwestern colorado -- the more amazed we are that no one was hurt. the roc
