education, i've been working in the tenderloin community for three years now, in addition to working at glide, i'm in the tenderloin safe pathway commission, safe passage provides safe blocks to 400 youth daily for the after school hours. i think i would be a good candidate for the child care council because i would bring diverse toy the the youth and bring the after school perspective to the group, and there's not as much representation from the after school field on cpac, so i feel i would bring that perspective. thank you again for your consideration. >> okay. have you ever attended cpac or do you know what they do? >> yes, i'm currently attending cpac and i'm currently a member? >> what would you like to see get done during your term? >> i mean, currently right now, cpac focuses a lot of their attention on the ece field and budget priorities around there. i would like to see after school be brought up during those sessions and maybe budget priorities around the after school sector as well. i don't hear that a lot so that's something that i would like to see. >> okay. >> and thank you. >>

glide memorial does this every year. they expect to feed about 5,000 people today with the help of more than 500 volunteers. breakfast starts about an hour from now, 7:00 runs through 8:30, ham and eggs and of course, all the sides. lunch runs from 9:00 in the morning until 1:30 that afternoon, ham and turkey and all the fixings, two very large meals. already a line outside and staff members tell me they expect an even larger demand of meals this year as opposed to last year, due to rising rents in the bay area and so many other financial problems that families face. if you miss your opportunity to volunteer, staff members tell me that they see such an outpouring of support over the holidays, but not enough volunteers the other ten or nine months out of the year. staff here two large meals today, lunch at 12:00, a lot of people to feed and a lot of food to give out. back to you, annie. >> all right, always a good time at that time glide every holiday. thank you so much. >>> and after the 12-year tradition of serving turk

glide memorial church holds the christmas day festivities. san francisco residents in need dined on prime rib as part of the prime rib lunch. this family from house of prime rib donated 2,000 pounds of meat which fed 3,000 people. the christmas breakfast starts at 7:00 in 57 minutes and runs until 8:30 this morning. christmas lunch is served from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. where celebrations running between 9:00 and 1 a.m. people who cannot make to ad for kitchen do not miss on christmas meal. 500 volunteers with the salvation army will prepare and deliver christmas dinners to seniors and those in need with 3,600 dropped off at homes in san francisco. volunteers delivered meals during thanksgiving from the salvation army. a family lost everything to a fire and they are experiencing true spirit of giving this christmas. firefighters, strainers and viewers from abc7 coming from all over are helping out. our reporter has more on how one community is turning a story of tragedy into a story of generosity. >> santa's sleigh looks different. >> want

that was his friend and they went back to do some gliding experience. this is one of my favorite pictures from this album. and it shows them and orval is in his usual suit with his vest and coat. and it looks like he had long underwear on. in his camp legs are all rolled up. and he he has a big floppy hat on and it just shows that human side and something else i want to show you this particular album. and it was presented to orval and wilbur wright on the occasion of the american medals at the white house in june of 1909. this particular album contains lots of congratulatory letters and things like that. here is a letter from william howard taft to the wright brothers and owners of what they have accomplished. and also a photograph of them at the white house as well and sister catherine is there with them. and this is william howard taft at the white house in dc welder and orval and other members as well that where was signed in her signature is actually on the back of the photograph. in the last thing that i want to show you was very special to me and
