law men think she was beaten to death at her home in gloucester township and then dumped here. new jersey correspondent nora muchanic is live after gloucester township police. nora, late word. police have made an arrest. what is the story on that? >> reporter: jim, police arrested a coworker of the victim. >>> he and another female coworker were taken in by susan johnson when she found out they had nowhere to live. for this mother and grandmother that turned out to be a fatal mistake. authorities have charged 30-year-old miguel diaz with first degree murder in the death of 59-year-old aerial resident susan johnson. they say diaz an female companion had been living on and off at johnson's home when last friday an argument started about money. >> during the course of that dispute the argument escalated until something physical. she was beaten with his fists and possibly another object that the witness was not able to identify. >> reporter: woman who is not being charged led police to johnson's body which was dumped in a wooded area near ball fields on commonwealth drive in evesha

. >>> gloucester county prosecutors say a man put his fiance's two-year-old boy in the hospital on chris mass day. he's locked up tonight on several charges, including attempted murder. invesz gatigators haven't said what he allegedly did to the boy, but doctors treated the child for numerous injuries and kidney failure. >>> teemp just like the kids, they won't return after winter break. the school closed today. just a few days ago, they were told that wait a minute i recall palmer is closing for good. employees will have to find new jobs. more than 600 students will have to find brand new schools. school officials say they were force e forced to close because they owe the school district of philadelphia millions of dollars, and that includes $1.5 million that needs to be paid back immediately. >> and the bottom line is that that $1.5 million judgment that's what took us over the edge. >> this goes beyond the 1.5 million dlarsz. it clearly shows a financial situation of mismanagement of finances. >> the school district says it's working to find new public schools for all of these student

matthew was killed on sunday when he was hit boy a police car in franklin township, gloucester county. the officer was responding to call at the time. the family did release that statement saying in part in his short life matthew touched so many with his warm heart and compassion. he was also known as a jokester. he loved making people laugh. they say please remember matthew and continue to pray for his family through this horrific tragedy and i don't know. >>> matthew mccloskey will be laid to rest on friday. >>> well hope turns to heartbreak as search crews recovered the bodies of six people in the area where air asia flight 8401 disappeared. the search has been focused in the java sea where the aircraft dropped off radar just two days ago. several pieces of debris have also been found all within a few miles of that same location. we do know that the plane was flying into bad weather at the time but exactly what brought that aircraft down is a question crews hope to answer by finding a black box. >>> well a 42-year-old charged with having sex with a minor will likely stand trial. ir

reporter cleve bryan tells us, it happened at delsea drive and elmer street in franklin township gloucester county. ten year-old matthew mccloskey was about to have a a sleep over when his young life was cut short by a police officer answering a call who struck the boy on delsea drive. >> just super sad, sweet little boy i cannot imagine the family's pain. >> reporter: mccloskey who lived on elmer street was with his two friend who live around the corner. according to those boys grandmothers the kids were checking out a local light display and they asked if they could walk home. family says that the parents were a little behind the boys in their truck when the the cruiser hit mcencloses can i crossing the road. >> they are distraught, they are beside themselves, you know, that little will boy was in his care and he he feels horrible. >> reporter: mccloskey was a fifth grader at ritter elementary school. >> we dropped off flowers and reached out to let them know that we're thinking about them and that we're here for them. it is a tragic event for the entire community. >> reporter: franklin t
