that severe thunderstorm is showing some signs of rotation moving toward the paulsboro area, gloucester city, you are in the path of this storm and it's racing on off to the east at about 60 miles per hour so if you're in places like cherry hill, also west deptford you're in the path of this, woodbury, new jersey brooklawn, in you the path of this potential tornado mantua area, gloucester and berlin you need to seek shelter immediately as we're watching what's happening on ultimate doppler. center city right now getting hit with very heavy rainfall. gusty winds downpours in excess of one to 2-inches per hour rainfall rates and we just have a newly issued tornado warning right now until 6:30 that does include parts of burlington county, camden county, and gloucester county. you can see highlighted within that red box those are the areas that we're watching for this potential rain wrapped tornado so a lot of wind energy i can't stress it enough with this activity blowing through parts of the area. let's take look at some of the tools that we're watching as far as some of the rotation signature

talk about some of those outage numbers and just checking with atlantic city electric they have the most amount of outages in gloucestercounty right now. 34,000 customers affected just within this county alone. we've been talking with them about what their efforts are and they've been telling us that on fixing the high voltage transmission lines first, then getting the substations fixed, then the primary power lines and then getting the individual homes fixed up with the power and get that restored. this has been a day an long effort here. we've been looking on some of the side streets here. we'll turn on north market. we're still seeing a lot of the tree branches debris off to the side of the road. a lot of that cleanup effort has already been under way. a lot of traffic lights are still out in this area. a lot of the homes still do not have power in the gibbstown section of greenwich township. also earlier this morning we were driving around cherry hill. there were traffic lights out in that area but they have since been restored we found out from cherry hill police there were seven traffic lights at major intersecti

city electric has the most outages, more than 80,000. and more than 270 delmarva customers are still in the dark. nbc 10's matt delucia is live in gibbstown, gloucester county. a hard-hit area from the storm. what's the situation there this morning. >> reporter: gibbstown is part of greenwich township. this area still has no you positiver. greenwich township 84% of atlantic city electric customers still without power. this is west broad street, route 44. i'm shining the light down the road. all the streetlights are out except for those in the distance. all these homes still without power. we'll turn around on this road. you can see the traffic lights are still here at rapanno avenue. some of these cars are coming stopping and then moving through the intersection because all the lights are still out. jessica talked about how the offramps to 295 are affected as well. we were trying to get into this area we had to drive farther down 295 just to get off into this area. that is still affected right now. you can see the brush as we come around one more time out here on the side of the road. a cleanup effort still under way in gloucester county a big, hard

city at this time. this is south of chester already into wilmington parts of gloucester. you can see how light and spotty this is. this isn't the main system. the main system is well off moving into cincinnati right now. this is tropical depression bill. sustained winds around 20 miles an hour. it's going to head our way the rest of the day. we'll see on and off showers through 3:00 p.m. but the main part of this system will not get here until closer to 10:00 at night. once it gets here these are heavy downpours we expect to see. once it starts it's going to continue throughout our overnight hours at least through 7:00 a.m. so if you have late morning plans tomorrow you should be okay. there'll be a bit of a lull in the system throughout the day. and then we are going to see another round of showers and isolated heavy downpours closer to 4:00 or 5:00. then as we head into our sunday night, we'll start to see a little bit more clearing. so how much rain are we expected to see between tonight and tomorrow? we could see anywhere between 1 to 3 inches. close to 2 inches for p

city to the shore. want to update you on our wind damage in gloucester county.t was a macro burst not a tornado that tour through west deptford and also east greenwich last night. now, it was thunderstorm wind damage but with this macro burst you have a down draft from a thunderstorm and it's at least about 2.5 miles wide. wind speeds with this were 85 miles an hour with straight line thunderstorm winds and they last between five and 20 minutes. so the macro burst that strong down draft created those straight line winds that really wreaked havoc in south jersey and of course we talk about those bow echoes that line of wind damage that created a lot of trouble throughout the delaware valley last night. now as we pick up it is looking like it's going to be pretty dry overnight tonight and through tomorrow most of us seeing dry conditions. it's 78 in philadelphia. 66 in millville. 60 in the poconos and 67 in reading as we look closer in our suburbs quakertown 64, and pottstown a pleasant night. overnight low temperature will be in the lower 60s. during the day tomo

downpours and this intense cluster this is right over folsom south of the atlantic city expressway and that has moved out of gloucesterantic county and that is small but it is dropping a very heavy amount of rain. part of the reason why we just have so much humidity in the air. the thunderstorms can pull that out of the atmosphere. this is why satellite6 along with action radar showing this ridge of high pressure and you can see how the thunderstorms are riding up and over the ridge so most of the storms are missing us and what it's also missing us is the core of the heat. it feels hot here right now. it feels like 94 degrees with the heat index but charleston and hatteras and richmond the heat index 100 degrees so that's as hot as it was here this past friday, so we're really missing out on the bulk of the heat but it will get hotter and more humid tomorrow. so, for tonight a very warm night with a few pop-up thunderstorms, not widespread. 74 degrees the low in philadelphia. allentown 70 millville 72 and wilmington 73 degrees. so, you'll want the air conditioning to run overnight or at least open up the windows and c

but atlantic city electric still has the worst of it the worst of the outages with 15,321 customers affect, most of them, in gloucester county. del marva has fewer than 300 people to reconnect tonight. >>> last night's heavy rain prompted at least one rescue in delaware. here in stanton, several people had to be rescued from high waters from when the red clay creek flooded. rescuers responded at about 10:00 o'clock last night. neighbors heard cries for help and called police. two men and one woman were found clinging to trees trying to stay above the water. they were taken to christiana hospital and they are expect to be okay. >>> the storms have finally moved out leaving us with a dry, sunny day with a nice weather sticking around for a little will while. meteorologist melissa magee has a first check of your accu weather forecast, melissa. >> yes czar, we have had a nice finish to our weekend and dryer as you mentioned as well after that torrential rain for our saturday. temperatures are definitely responding to the sunshine we had out earlier today and we have wind coming from the west/southwest making a difference.
