go over the golden gate bridge. for by the california wildlife center in fairfield, the center says they rescued more than 370 injured pelicans in april. most of these birds came from the monterey and santa cruz areas. environmentalists are investigating what caused those injuries. but some signs seem to indicate that those birds were caught in fishing gear. it's going to cost you a little bit more to ride the ferry from the city to the east and north bay's starting july 1st, the san francisco bay ferry increases its fair by 3% going one way from alameda, oakland or richmond to the city now cost you $4 and $0.70. if you're coming from south san francisco, it will cost you $7 and $0.20. and the fear from vallejo will be $9 and $0.60. the fare increase was approved by the ferries board of directors last year. the alameda county fair kicked off friday with in pleasanton with food, carnival rides and live music. that event runs through july 7th and problems. photo journalist malcolm jackson takes us inside the fun. >> w

for the golden gate and you can see it's fairly elevated. there are clouds there.ing on shore. but they're fairly high and they're not impacting much of the road. but they are having a huge impact on temperatures. you certainly noticed this yesterday. it was a big improvement if you were anywhere near the water and temperatures really dropped in the city along the coast and it was downright gusty and windy and uncomfortable at times because it was such a strong return of the onshore flow. watch the marine layer on the high resolution futurecast. those are the clouds we've just looking at. they fill in through much of the immediate bay and then up to napa this morning. that's a good show right there. not like a total grayout and most of that is going to melt back as we get into the late morning and afternoon. you are going to have manier sunshine than anything else but look at the pattern in the temperatures. that aligns perfectly with where that marine layer influence is. in other words, if you have got that, you are below average today for temperatures but if you

here's a live look at the golden gate bridge. temperatures inland. >> in the 80's upper 80's, you're in concord and today we're going to drop that by about 10 degrees for those of you inland. so little less dramatic in a spot like san francisco, but certainly you can see where today's temperatures are going to be a little cool compared to where just a couple days ago we're talking triple digit heat, right? so 77 degrees in san jose right now. we are at 57 in alameda. 69 in concord, just 55 in downtown san francisco. we've got quite a bit of cloud cover there. getting the sun going right now up in the north bay. but still little cool. santa rosa city about 64 degrees. so here's a live look from the east bay. and you can kind of see that blue sky ready to break through. it's not quite here yet, but it will be on the way. i want to take walnut creek as an example here. the average there is about 82 degrees. you can see today really looking at for 74 and then we have this really nice run of temperatures over the next week, right? we'
