golden gate bridge looks good. a little bit breezy. you see that camera swaying back and forth in the wind that is probably across the bay area this morning. a little bit of snow flurry activity up in the sierra nevada, but the bay area's nice and quiet aside from the winds. now we do have a cold morning. frost advisories in effect from 04:00am. so just going into effect lasting until 09:00am this morning, some of our very cold as temperatures are ahead of us in the santa cruz mountains, south bay inland east bay and inland north bay. these temperatures currently falling close to the 30's in livermore as well as dublin down to 41 42 degrees and then some upper 30's and fairfax and cloverdale going to see some more 30's popping up in both the north bay and the inland east bay. at points this morning. now, as far as winds go gust as high as even at 40 miles per hour range. the coast today, it is set to be a pretty breezy day ahead of us. that's going to make things feel pretty brisk, even as we move into the afternoon and achieve some up

just a couple high clouds up above toward the golden gate bridge. looking very nice to and barely a breeze there at the bridge by tomorrow at this time. yeah, that wind is going to be a hole into the golden gate bridge and around much of the rest, the bay area. so right now, temperatures not all that bad. got 55 degrees in santa rosa. 57 now in concord, almost 60 degrees in livermore. 56 in san jose. 54 degrees in oakland. 52 in san francisco. but there are a lot of clouds off the coastline now. and you can see that swirl out there in the middle of the pacific. that's an area of low pressure that's going to help guide this next atmospheric river. but then on shore, bringing with it more rain and some gusty winds. here's a look at the forecast model picking up on some of those gusts. you see the swirl along the coastline and then you see all the winds ramping up toward the coast and that's what has me a little bit concerned. as the slows approaching very closely. and as it does, i think we could see a brief period, a very, very gusty winds, maybe some

this afternoon, rain falls picking up, though, at the golden gate bridge.s generally working their way northward. now, the center of this atmospheric river here in your infrared radar is really centered up in southern california. la and san diego are going to see the greatest impacts of heavy rain up into the big sur coastline. now, even though the moisture plume is center to the south, there is a very rapidly strengthening low pressure area that is centered up right here in the bay area. you can see that center of circulation right here spinning just off coast is going make landfall today right there in the santa cruz mountains. and along with it, some really heavy rain and some really, really strong winds. that's why i'm saying these wind gusts may even cause more damage. then that risk of flooding, at least here locally you can see are very heaviest rains on the west into the central valley as well as up into the santa cruz mountains. a lot of areas along the central coast and the central valley are already in the midst of flooding. and now we're going t
