by watching the clouds on the golden gate bridge and we're going to use the golden gate bridge as our example today. the tours are 750 feet tall. when the fog comes in oftentimes we think of it as just kind of generic. obviously curing the bridge. obscuring the bridge. the fog is going to be fairly high in the summer. high pressure is building in and the heat starting to come into the forecast, that fog gets pushed down. because the high pressure which warms up the temperatures and wants to push all the air down on us is an easy way to be your own kind of meteorologist when you track it that way. that's one aspect of it. another way to look at where the marine layer is. profile the atmosphere. the only thing to take away from the image is that blue band right there shows you where the bottom layer of the marine layer is. most recent time is over here. that was last night and early this morning. here's right now. look what happened over the last few hours. it's almost like -- the center of high pressure woke up and started going to work and really pushed down on things. it's another wa

taking a live look now out of the golden gate bridge. now, look at the towers there. that's a towers on the golden gate bridge. our 742 feet now just behind you can see what's called slacker hill ray, back here. now. the clouds are just beginning to touch. the top of that. that is right about 1000 feet. so that's some pretty good news. if that cloud deck stays that high above 900 to 1000 feet are going to able to get off a lot of the fireworks. maybe not the real big ones that go higher than that. but still it is going to be a great view of the fireworks display. looks like even inside the bay, although there will be some clouds. so you can expect the clouds rolling on shore. they're already doing it right now, pushing inside the bay. here's latest forecast model was showing the clouds move inside the bay and buy just after 9 o'clock. the fireworks begin. you can see some of those clouds bouncing up against the east bay hills in a place like berkeley and oakland spreading down toward hayward. and that will kind of fill in as we head through the evening hours now. so th

happening now, drivers are paying more to cross the golden gate bridge. the toll went up. 35 starting this morning. that means drivers without fast track will now have to pay 9.75. to cross the bridge. fast track passholders will also see a $0.35 increase bringing that total to 8.75. pay as you go tolls will be $9. that's a $0.20 increase. car pooling. still the cheapest option at 6.75. and some drivers in the bay area are now going to be getting some help with their bridge tolls. starting this morning, those who received violation notices for not paying tolls in the bay area will get a chance to pay all or part of their bill without any penalties toll agencies for charging between $100 or $500. each violation giving a huge blow to many low-income residents. but under a new law starting today, those fees can be waived a payment plan for big bridge toll express lanes and dmv peas are also available. application process for waivers and payment plans open through september of next year. today volunteers down the 28th annual pink triangle, which has been up fo
