our crew found flooding here at phelan stanyan streets at the panhandle of golden gate park. len across golden gate park. san francisco public works crews are have been on the job all night in the mission district. around 430 this morning, this large tree came crashing down at mission and 13th near zeitgeist. the lanes were blocked as crews came out to clear the downed tree. we have again several reports of trees down in golden gate park and potential sfmta lines down. we are still working to confirm that, but if you don't need to go out right now in the city, please stay inside. and we have this breaking news out of sonoma and napa. highway 121 is flooded, closed in both direrections. no estimated timen when it will reopen. and back to that downed power line in san jose. this is at south white road and martin avenue. people across the bay area have lost power. now, this is another situation. no word on when pg&e will be able to move in and repair this line in san jose. but again, stay inside if you can today. if you don't need to be outside. here's a look at the pg&e outage m

this is from golden gate park this morning near the bison paddock, teams chopping up downed trees and moving them out of the area. the national weather service issued its first ever tornado warning for the city at 6 a.m. on saturday. luckily, a tornado did not develop, but strong winds still caused a huge mess there. let's go ahead and bring in meteorologist rob mayeda for a closer look at how tornado warnings are issued. rob. both events are what are known as special marine warnings for possible waterspouts. rob how and when does that get upgraded to a tornado warning? and that's the question a lot of people are asking. no confirmed tornado in san francisco. however, regionally speaking, you had 80 mile per hour winds from golden gate park all the way down to sfo. that activity did prompt the tornado warning, the first ever issued for san francisco. essentially, what you have with the special marine warning is the potential of waterspouts out over the ocean if it maintains its strength, those storms as they move inland, that will immediately transition to a tornado warning once it cr

the good in kron 4 news. >> well, a driver san francisco is dead after crashing into a tree at golden gate park. this happened fairly early wednesday evening on 19th between park and pursue deal. crossover drive. we don't have the word this morning on what may have caused that crash. and on the golden gate bridge, a car crashed into the toll plaza citizen app video showing the aftermath of that crash yesterday morning. a couple of lanes were blocked. thankfully, nobody was hurt. and a motorcyclist was killed in the late on christmas eve after crashing with a pickup truck that happened around 11:00pm on arena in florida. streets. was it a truck tried to turn left without yielding to the motorcycle and the rider was unable to stop crashed into the side of the truck. the motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital with died. the truck driver is cooperating with police. 5 people in north. they arrested for different drug and weapons crimes. sonoma county deputies executed a warning windsor over the weekend. they allegedly found 5 guns. 2 of them stolen meth, fentanyl pills and other illegal drugs. this

look at this aftermath in golden gate park. massive trees torn out of the ground.out a tornado, the gusty winds gave people plenty to worry about. i went upstairs, far from the window, and the wind was so intense. crews, as you might imagine, spent all day cleaning up trees, fixing power lines across the city. and day two continues today. speaking of day two, thousands of people remain without power. in the dark, in the cold, because of the gusty winds that blew through the bay yesterday. all that green is about 50 customers without power and orange. there's plenty of it 500 to 5000 customers without power. the majority of the outages from the north bay all the way down to the south bay. and as we always seem to say, rain here in the bay area this time of year means snow in the sierra. this weekend was no exception. some places received as much as 18in all of that snow, causing danrous conditions for drivers. good for people who were already there. chains are required on both i-80 and highway 50 where it's still snowing. we found some people caught in the blizzard

san francisco police are investigating a deadly and fiery crash near golden gate park.rea of park presidio and crossover drive. responding officers discovered a single vehicle involved in this collision that was engulfed in flames. one person was found dead inside. no word tonight on the cause of this crash. an explosion triggered a large fire in the capitola village, leaving three people without a place to call home tonight. it happened about 6 a.m. thankfully, no one was hurt. the exact cause of this fire is still under investigation.
