if you're going across the golden gate bridge right now, the winds are up to 33 miles per hour. it will stay gusty through the evening. only to die down tomorrow morning. so the winds will give a take a bit of a break. but then again, they're going to pick up again for tomorrow afternoon up to 36 miles per hour. winds through san francisco. that heat advisory is in effect until 11 o'clock tonight. and that is for the north bay, the east bay and parts of the south bay. that's the inland areas that expires and then we get a nice weekend with temperatures closer to normal. nothing quite like we have today, which right now outside 105 degrees at travis air force base 105. also in santa rosa 104 in concord. on the other hand, mountain view is 88 degrees and 69 degrees right now in downtown san francisco. what's going on is that big area of high pressure, the same one that plagued us for a couple of weeks. it moved off to the east, brought some record breaking temperatures that way and it's inching again toward california. so we're going to see big change in the temperatures tomorrow.
