we really, really do need -- there's a fix that was in the go goodlatte bill that assessing credible fear claims. that would be really helpful. fixing tdpra so that we can expeditiously remove aliens from all countries, you know, regardless of country of of origin if they have no indicia of trafficking or no asylum claim. that's critical. there's a raft of asylum-related provisions that i would wish congress would look at, including clarifying what qualifies-- what constitutes a frivolous asylum claim. one issue we haven't talked about much is asylum generally. not only is my agency experiencing a deluge of credible fear claims, we have regular work, so-called asylum claims, backlog of over 300,000 cases. we've practiced first in, first out on some of cases and kind of gotten the flow under control. if we could get some help from congress what constitutes frivolous claim. that could weed out people filing claims just to get an employment document. i would love it if congress would pass a one-sentence provision that would prohibit american workers being replaced by h1b workers. i coul
