frank and grace. that firefighter still here at san francisco general, in critical condition, with severe head injuries. and the police are still on the search for that suspect who hit him. and having just released this new footage yesterday, and that was taken at the jack in a box at geary and 11th street. and that is the place that both these suspects and the firefighter were before that hit-and-run accident. and taking a look at the surveillance video, you can see a customer standing at the counter. and wearing a long white short sleeve t-shirt and that customer is the man that police suspected of hitting firefighter albert bartle. we're told the customer and the firefighter got into a fight at 2:45 thanksgiving morning and the two men had to be separated because of that argument. each left the restaurant separately. bartle first and followed by the suspect. and an eyewitness saw the suspect got into a black mazda cx suv car and police say the suspect intentionally ran over the firefighter and fled

hive, grace. good morning. that's right, hi, grace.oday's supreme court decision is critical because it dictates whether proponents of prop 8 or other special interest groups can pursue the appeal. the ninth circuit court of appeals requested the state circuit court decision. prop 8 has been going on since 2008. here's a timeline of how prop 8 stands up to this day. prop 8 passed by voters in 2008. last year in august, u.s. district judge vaughn walker overturned that measure saying it was unconstitutional. so today, the state supreme court will rule if prop 8 supporters such as protectmarriage.com can appeal judge walkers' decision. the reason prop 8 supporters want to appeal because state elected officials like governor brown refuse to do it. so many legal experts say that however and whatever the supreme court decides today, the ninth circuit court of appeal will follow suit. let's say that the special interest groups can appeal. the ninth circuit court of appeals would then continue the appeals case of judge walker's decision. if t

good afternoon, kristy. >> reporter: good afternoon, grace and frank.e're just a couple of blocks away from the rock ridge shopping area. you can see over my shoulder, they are cutting away. pg&e has been here for over an hour, trimming branches off this 100-foot tall eucalyptus tree. this tree has caused power outages in past years, so they are taking care of dangling limbs over the power lines. it's just one of several trees that will be trimmed today in preparation for that big wind storm that's expected to hit tomorrow. the storm we should see in the early morning hours and we'll see gusts about 20 to 40 miles an hour -- excuse me, winds up to 20 to 40 miles an hour, with gusts over 55 miles an hour. in the hills, we could see gusts as high as 70 miles an hour. now, most of the residents i spoke to in this east bay neighborhood said that they were very happy to see pg&e out here today, trimming the trees that line their sidewalk. in fact, several of them said they have seen strong wind storms like the one we'll see tomorrow cause some real havoc on
