(grant) this is near near lake mcclure in the sierra foothills...and people are being forced to evacuate their homes. 300 homes are threatened tonight. it's only been burning for a little more than 24 hours...but 11 thousand acreas are already charred. the detwiller fire-- has destroeyed one structure....damaged another. it's just five percent contained. nearly 800 fire personnell are dealing with heavy brush. the rapidly growing fire has forced janet kirkland and her two pets out their home.
