dozens of gravestones damaged.and new york, swastika and nazi symbols spray-paint and carved into cars. in at least 11 states, jewish communities and schools evacuated after a series of bomb threats. they included three schools in our area. stephen tschida is at one of them in rockville and he joins us live with the developing story. stephen: we learned within the hour of the third threat that was a jewish day school in annapolis. we spoke with people associated with the schools and parents and members of the jewish community. they say they find this rash of threats annoying. they are truly frightening. three bomb threats in one day in the metro area. we learned the congregation of the day school in annapolis released a threat about explosive device today after the gesher jewish day school in fairfax got a call shortly after 9:00 this morning. and moments later, the charles e. smith upper jewish day school in rockville also received a bomb threat via telephone. >> saying there was a bomb on campus and saying that j

including a dozen bomb threats at jewish community centers in the past two days, and the destruction of gravestones in a jewish cemetery in missouri. the president today made a statement of condemnation, but it comes amid growing concerns in this country about anti-semitism and other incidents involving hate, and some criticism that president trump hasn't responded forcefully, and quickly, enough. john yang has the story. >> reporter: over the past two days, authorities have evacuated jewish community centers in a dozen cities across the country, the latest this morning in la jolla, california. >> reporter: no explosive devices were found, but it's part of an unsettling series of events. on monday, more than 200 headstones were toppled and damaged at a jewish cemetery in st. louis. since january, 54 jewish centers in 27 states have been the target of 70 threats-- in all of 2016, there was just one such incident. this morning, at the national museum of african american history and culture, president trump condemned the threats. >> the anti-semitic threats targeting our jewish community and community

and tonight the cleanup continues after someone toppled over more than 100 gravestones at the mt. carmel cemetery it happened few days ago but there was so much damage that volunteers are still working to clean up the mess. today, the city, community and religious leaders congregated at the cemetery to condemn the attacks on the jewish community which included yesterday's bomb threats against three local jewish community centers and emotions are still running high. >> this sad thing i'm just not surprised and i'm saddened that i'm not surprised. i really can't believe in this day and age my children, my daughter, my 16-year-old daughter is here cleaning a toppled over gravesite from jews. >> there is a growing riri ward of $13,000 for any information connected to that vandal ditch. in addition to the cemetery vandalism across the country including in our area monday at least 31 bomb threats reported called in to jewish community centers or day schools according to the jcc association of north america. this week's threats mark the fifth series of attacks this year. >>> delaware pol
