just wanted to show you a smooth flow of traffic onto or toward and onto the bay bridge itself. great speed sensor reads throughout the east bay. contra costa county starts off with no delays out of antioch all the way over toward concord and walnut creek. interchange moves smoothly. the north bay no slowing just yet. out of vallejo. over at mare island, a nice easy drive in through the south bay, though, i want to call out a couple of incidents. one fire reported over here off gish. it sounds like everything's under control. gish itself is a surface street watch for that. if it's part of your drive, watch for crews. there may be some wires down. there's a bigger issue over here. not including 680, but just off 680 for that fire over near alum rock. i'll hand it right back to you. that's right in the east side of san jose. this is breaking news. while you were sleeping, firefighters battling that fire. it is at a san jose strip mall. the first call came in about an hour ago. our kris sanchez arriving to that scene just a short time ago. and, chris, can you talk to us about what you've

and the first year that we did it, we were way out in the middle of the great south bay off fire islandan beings. it's just our little group, and we're in our fun clamming outfits, and we're, you know, shimmying along, and we're collecting calms. we're proud. and out of nowhere, this '80s bully, like a james spader, like a "caddyshack" character, like, a flipped-up pink collar, a madras short, on a sunfish for one, okay? and -- it's a little sailboat -- with his, like, reclining like this, like with his feet crossed, and his arm. and he went -- and he went, just out of nowhere, comes sailing by me. and he goes, "nice clamming outfit." we have great weather around the bay area, plenty of blue skies out there, and it was above average inareas once again. here's a look at live doppler seven clouds off to the coast. elsewhere, it's pretty quiet. and check out this really cool view from sutro. you just see the top of the golden gate bridge and you see the fog rolling in. so the marine layer is going to increase and expand, and that is going to give us some cooler weather over the next few days. right now in san francisco at 64, oakland 72, hayward 77, san jose 85. redwood city 82. that's just perfect. half moon bay, though, has been cool in the 50s. and check out how beautiful it is from mount tam as we look south. so clear skies over the rest of the bay area except right along the coastline. so temperatures did warm up quite a bit. in fact, in santa rosa it's still 93 degrees. petaluma and napa at 83, fairfield 97 and then mid 90s in concord and livermore. this is a view from our sky star camera. this is in fisherman's wharf. and as it goes around through the ferris wheel i'll give you the highlights. so tonight we'll s

it's going to be a pretty great night around the bay area.t's 61 and fog in half moon bay, 60 in san mateo right now. 71 still sunny in san jose, 70 in conquered much cooler there. 71 in fairfield, 68 degrees in calistoga. the warm spot. kelsey bill checking in at 82 degrees. so overall, though, the pattern beginning to shift just a bit. we've got some low clouds and fog hugging the coastline now. so that begin a stretch into the bay to going to see more of that. there's actually a cold front that's diving into far northern california. see kind of fall apart as it moves in. it's bringing some showers up in the pacific northwest for us. that's going to fall apart. probably deep in the marine layer a little bit. maybe get a little drizzle along the coastline. so looks like tomorrow. you're going to be playing with the fog in san francisco specially out toward the sunset. maybe not a whole lot of sunny breaks. their temperatures downtown, probably about 63 degrees. some sun after some morning fog into oakland at 75 degrees in about 82 in san jos
