and while tuesday ca loose after is doing great. cities like i grew up was down to 21%. hey had to i think of the americans who were helped by the affordable care act, by having the assistance of the federal government to get back on their feet, i'm happy to report the median, the average unemployment in my 14 counties is not where we want to be, but we're at 6.3%, it's not the 3.9% of the national average but we're a far cry better than we were at 15%. so these people are working. social safety net programs are meant to help people get back on their feet. i think people think about the fraud and abuse and none of us, none of us want fraud and abuse when it comes to our programs, but i can tell you 70% of the folkses that -- folks that receive snap in my district, 70% of them have children under the age of 17. so when i fight for snap, when i fight against the mass i cuts that my colleagues on the other side of the aisle want to have, i'm fighting for those children to have food to eat. i'm fighting for the millions of seniors that are on food stamps. that depend upon it
