it is a 4 lane highway as you probably have seen, it is practically a freeway and it was designed with greenon the district 11 side and the district 7 side, which is [indiscernible] if you have been to that area. it is practically impossible for somebody to walk from the parking lot of the dal y city bart station to san francisco university because of the design of the free way. i requested to conduct a study of the entire corridor which includes bruthder hood way on the other side of the 280 overpass the entrance to park merced which this board entitled in 2011 and undergoing the first phase of construction hopefully next year. this entire area will-is just begging for a redesign. the open space is not improved open space, it is really just grass and trees. there is a community garden on the district 11 side and there is sad little dog park on the district 7 side so i think folks in the community deserve some thoughtfulness from our city agency, some good designs that respond to modern needs, including perhaps the need for housing. the folks in that neighborhood the merced extension triangl
