greenberg was not >> the government's lawyer made pint of this is the epitome of too big to failure.greenberg understood that aig was so critical to the global economy that he felt he should have been able to get better terms. >> yeah, exactly. that basically he and the other shareholders felt entitled, essentially to get a better rescue, a better compensation, and the government is pointing out that aig and its shareholders were never entitled to a bailout. the government could have let them fail and it would have been a bigger moral hazard to allow a firm in distress to dictate the bailout terms, because what could that say in the future of other financial institutions taking risks, because they know the government will rescue them on their terms. >> this is going to get a lot more interesting to the world if the three have to testify. i believe they have already been deposed. >> yes, that was supposed to be sealed testimony, although some of it has already leaked a bit, as you can imagine of the interest in this. and next week it will be the first time they are publicly questioned

ted greenberg has the latest from bridgeton. >> he's crazy. >> reporter: -- meant killing a competitorr one of their own, they were not afraid to use violence. >> it's like a movie. >> reporter: today, police told nbc 10 these four men from central and north jersey are among the five they've charged in connection with a pair of murders in bridgeton last month. among them 36-year-old juan fredi hernandez josiah of passaic. he was busted by federal authorities last week. >> the homicides were arranged to the best of our knowledge and ordered by mr. hernandez and the other four individuals charged actually carried out those orders. >> reporter: investigators say this bridgeton home previously serve as one of the brothels. today we learned one of the murdered men likely ran the operation here and was probably killed because of a business issue. police believe the other victim worked at a competing brothel in the city. >> it's definitely seems to be an organized criminal enterprise that was being run and the majority of organized criminal enterprises go hand in hand with extreme violence. >

ted greenberg live in at lan ta tick city. >> reporter: i got to tell you, it's really quiet on this end of the boardwalk tonight. we have seep a few people come by throughout the day. really, staring in disbelief that this massive glimmering resort, which came with so much promise, is now out of business. when it opened with a sun rice toast and high hopes for atlantic city's future. >> revel casino is now closed. >> reporter: this is not the announcement anyone expected to hear less than 2 1/2 years later. >> it's dead. >> reporter: just before 6:00 this morning, the bankrupt revel resort completed the second face of its two-day shutdown. yellow chains were pulled across entrances. the main gateway along revel boulevard now a roadblock. >> it feels like it's part of history. being at the last concert of someone. >> reporter: two days after showboat casino ended its 27-year run, revel's closure leaves 2,800 people out of work. >> people standing and locked everything up and we hugged. a couple tears were shed. that was it. >> reporter: the hotel rooms are being cleaned, the linens w

our herb greenberg was the one who warned us about this stock some while ago. what was it, like 2011? >> 2011 i said this was going to become a really serious battleground stock. it was at $23 a share. it was formed through a reverse merger in 2007. the stock went from 23 at the point in time i told you that all the way up to 40 which had the hostile react-on-meter spinning out of control. look, the company went out after microsoft, cisco, apple, claiming all violations of pa pate patents. the company actually won a number of these suits. they got some huge judgments especially against apple. and then -- and this is why the stock came out -- the appeals court came out and said huh-uh. you're not getting that money. you don't deserve that much money. so the stock's been falling ever since. i have to tell you something interesting here. cowan was out effectively saying this was going to be a $3 billion market cap stock. the market cap now is about $200 million. interestingly enough, tomorrow the company is going to hold a conference call. >> what? >> listen, tomo

but first here's today's bay area jobs report with steven greenberg. >> reporter: california is aging rapidly. the number of people over 65 will jump by over 20% in the coming decade. and that's true for most of the country, as well. that's great news for the health industry and anyone qualified to work in it. 5 1/2 million new jobs are projected in the health industry in the next six years. that includes hundreds of thousands of new jobs statewide. in california, it's estimated there will be more than 535,000 job openings between 2010 and 2020. they will grow at 27% versus 17% for all other state jobs. it's not only doctors and nurses who will be in demand. more than half of the new healthcare jobs created in california will be in supporting roles that should pay well. therapists, technicians and aides require some training but not a four-year college degree. physician assistants only need a two-year degree to begin working. according to the bureau of labor, the annual mean wage for physician assistants is more than $98,000 a year in california. make an appointment to do some researc

here's steven greenberg with today's bay area job market report. >> reporter: for many workers in the bay area, and across the country, our improving economy is missing one key ingredient, a meaningful raise. since the recession, the top 1% in california may have recovered with wage gains. but the bottom 99% income is actually gone down. yet worker productivity is up meaning workers are contributing more but are not earning more. wages have generally remained flat even as unemployment has declined by 1.7% in the bay area. there is some good news. employers increasingly say they will offer raises based on performance. to maximize your chances of receiving one, keep a record of all your accomplishments at work. save flattering emails. write down praise you receive. note all the times you go the extra mile. politely ask for a meeting, even if your company doesn't offer annual reviews. ask for more responsibility not just more pay. that makes it easier for employers to say "yes." and stay positive and calm even if you don't immediately get a good response. give the employer some time to t

ted greenberg has been talking to law enforcement leaders in atlantic county today. >> ted, what are they telling you about the video? >> reporter: well, renee and jim, the atlantic city prosecutor's office had access to that surveillance video. i've been working today to try to find out if those agencies are investigating whether or not someone on the inside sent the video to the nfl. i asked for an interview with atlantic city police chief henry white seen here in file video but was told he was unavailable. in a statement, though, he said he had no comment on the "associated press" story which reported a law enforcement official sent a video of ray rice punching his then-fiancee to an nfl executive five months ago. a.c.'s police chief also said the department will neither confirm nor deny the existence of an investigation regarding an unauthorized release of video evidence. a spokesman for the other investigative agency that handled the rice case had an almost identical statement. i also tried to get answers from atlantic city mayor, don guardian. is it possible it came out through
